Under general supervision from the Library Operations Support Manager, the Volunteer Program Coordinator provides administrative and supervisory leadership in managing and expanding the Library District's Volunteer Program. This position ensures consistent implementation of District-wide volunteer policies and practices, oversees volunteer management systems, and supports branch-level coordinators in delivering high-quality volunteer engagement opportunities that enhance library services. Description of hours and wages:
The pay range for this position is $61,315 to $82,168 annually. Pay typically begins towards the entry of the pay range, and employees are eligible for annual merit and COLA increases per District policy.

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Supervises assigned staff, including but not limited to:

2. Establishes, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and guidelines for the District's Volunteer Program to ensure consistency, equity, and compliance.
3. Manages volunteer management software across the District, including configuration, training, accuracy, and reporting.
4. Oversees recruitment strategies, background check processes, and training procedures to ensure alignment with District needs and safety standards.
5. Develops and delivers training, resources, and ongoing support to Branch Volunteer Coordinators and other staff working with volunteers.
6. Supervises bookstore and online sales staff and volunteers in managing online accounts, sales, mailings, customer service, and adhering to vendor contracts.
7. Collects and analyzes data, prepares reports, and recommends improvements to enhance effectiveness and impact of the Volunteer Program.
8. Maintains accurate records and statistics related to volunteers, ensuring compliance with risk management, legal and HR requirements.
9. Provides input on budget priorities and strategies to maximize impact within budget constraints.
10. Promotes the Volunteer Program through internal communications, partnerships, and public-facing materials (in coordination with the Marketing Department).
11. Serves as liaison among volunteers, branch staff, administration, and community partners to ensure effective volunteer engagement.
12. Represents the Volunteer Program at District meetings, trainings, community events, and responds to public inquiries for information and assistance.

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

ROLE of the POSITION
This position exists to provide operational leadership, management, and oversight for day-to-day operations for Campus Recreational Services' aquatics and facilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to managing daily aquatics operations to ensure compliance with department, facility and university policy and procedures; supervise (1) aquatics graduate assistant, (20-30) lifeguards, (10-20) lifeguard instructors, (10-20) water safety instructors; directly hire, train, evaluate and supervise student staff; assess, develop and implement program and educational initiatives in the natatorium; provide first aid, CPR and first aid certification training; Lifeguard Training; Water Safety Instructor Training; Lifeguard Instructor Training; budget management; equipment inventory; strategic planning and assessment; administrative functions; observe and resolve risk management and safety issues and provide 24/7 emergency on-call response as necessary. On-call response within 30 minutes. Some evening and weekend work required.
Program development -- participate in the development of comprehensive recreational services and provide guidance for the development of program initiatives for aquatics. Develop and implement, with Associate Director assistance, a comprehensive calendar of aquatics recreational programs and manage the process to assess student learning outcomes and the impact of the activities and agenda. The facility is open 16 - 18 hours a day during the week and averages 12 hours a day on the weekend. This position is responsible for ensuring the proper supervision exists for all activities and that the building is in the best condition (safe and clean) for all users and events.
Provide student staff training, development, supervision, and evaluation. Conduct in-service training and lifesaving - lifeguarding meetings with staff, and provide professional leadership and oversight for staff, equipment, inventory, and policy/procedure protocols. Provide and coordinate staff management, payroll, certification record keeping, and facilitate/coordinate aquatics programming (including, but not limited to, swim lessons, aqua fitness, masters swim, learn to swim, youth programs, etc.).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and nine (9) months of undergraduate experience in collegiate recreation, athletics, or commercial/city recreation is required. CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor certification is required within 60 days of employment. Must be a current American Red Cross lifeguard certified. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.
ACCEPTED EQUIVALENCIES FOR DEGREE REQUIREMENT
UNLV may consider additional relevant experience in place of formal education requirements:

This role actively tracks, organizes, and reports denial activity, partnering with case management teams, the Centralized Business Office, managed care, facility controllers, Clinical Denials Management, and Regional leadership to ensure alignment and swift resolution. By acting as a central point of coordination and follow-through, the Denials & Appeals Coordinator turns strategy into action-ensuring tasks are completed, deadlines are met, and communication flows between all parties. Essential Functions
Serves as key team member of the new Central Access and Authorizations Team (CAAT), serving as a subject matter expert on denial prevention and coordination.
Works with facility to gather clinical information from medical record. Responsibility may include printing and scanning into required systems.
Ensures all denial-related documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted within required timeframes
Collaborates with other members of the CAAT, Business Development, Case Management, and Clinical Teams in denial management process
Coordinates and schedules peer to peer physician consults as needed; may work with case management if attending physician is completing peer to peer, or may work directly with physician advisory group to schedule
Monitors and tracks insurance denials; identify trends in the data
Communicates authorization outcomes to appropriate personnel (hospital and Centralized Business Office)
Manage the denial root cause analysis efforts as requested; including

Providing appropriate communication and follow up to the teams

Position Summary:
The Volunteer Coordinator works closely with the Volunteer & Outreach Manager to support volunteer recruitment, retention, orientation and recognition, as well as scheduling, tracking and reporting volunteer hours. The Coordinator will also serve in rotation to facilitate weekend volunteer check-in. The Coordinator will also serve as a backup for agency outreach efforts to parishes, community organizations, businesses, and schools, etc. As a part of a three-person team, the Volunteer Coordinator and Outreach Coordinator will cross-train responsibilities to support daily operations. In absence of Housing Manager, provide information and assistance to potential and existing tenants; discusses size and layout of rooms, available facilities, and services available.
Ensures the Community is maintained in a safe, neat and clean manner.
Must have a basic understanding of how plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems operate.

The Dual Enrollment Coordinator works with the Student and Academic Affairs areas to coordinate dual credit enrollment and assist as a liaison with high schools to promote college enrollment, career and dual credit pathways.
