The Florence Flamingos summer internship program is designed to give college students the real-world experience. Each intern becomes the chief of staff for the department head in that particular area. The goal for all of our interns is when the summer is over, you are ready to make a difference in your world. The 2026 season is very special for us as we host the 2026 All-Star Spotlight which is this year's version of the Coastal Plain League's All-Star Game. This will give you the experience to put on a special event and spotlight Florence, the Flamingos, and yourselves to all teams in our league. Our summer internship runs with our season, which begins May 29th and ends August 1st. We ask our interns to arrive no later than May 15th and the last day of work being the AUGUST 14th. We have a total of 30 home games, and most interns will see a mix of working both games and in office. You must be able to commit to all 30 home games and the two days of All-Star Spotlight Festivities. The Flamingos are a summer-collegiate baseball team located in Florence, South Carolina. The team plays in the Coastal Plain League and competes against teams located in Georgia, North and South Carolina, and Virginia. We have several openings for internships. Ticket Sales: Operations/Inside Sales - You will work hand-in-hand with our Vice President of Sales and Retention, Matt Downing. In the office, you'll be learning about the inside sales operation, making outbound calls and managing the ticketing system. 2. Ticket Sales: Group Sales- You'll be working with Vice President of Sales and Retention, Matt Downing. In the office, you will be making outbound calls to groups and learning everything there is to making our group experience the best there is. 3. Ballpark Operations - Again, with Blake, you'll help with keeping our stadium Carolina Bank Field as beautiful as it is. As part of the operations team, you'll also have oversight of a good number of game day staff. Building schedules, building relationships, and building a culture. 6. Clubhouse Manager - Have a knack for sports operations/equipment? Here you'll be working directly with our coaching staff to give the players the best experience possible. Marketing: Entertainment Lead - Like we've said, entertainment is a must when you come to a Flamingos game. Marketing: Music Operator - As a major contributor to the show, you'll be our own DJ for the games. But it's much more than that! Pleasing the crowd and being creative are musts here. Provide support to Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) as a Computer Science (OT Software) Intern - Limited Service Employee (LSE) on the Savannah River Site (SRS), a US Department of Energy (DOE) facility in Aiken, South Carolina. Responsibilities The Computer Science (OT Software) intern will perform meaningful work in support of the SRMC organization. The selected Computer Science (OT Software) intern will take an active role assisting with various projects and initiatives related to software development, web design, and artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) including .NET applications, such as web, desktop, mobile, or cloud-based solutions. The candidate will assist with: Supporting the development and maintenance of software features using C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Entity Framework, etc. Performing unit testing and integration testing using tools like NUnit, Selenium, etc. Analyze needs and support the development of a software solution Support data analytics and visualization using machine learning Creating and updating technical documentation using tools like Microsoft Word, Visio, etc. Providing technical support and troubleshooting for existing software applications Collaborating with other developers, testers, and project managers using tools like Visual Studio, Git, Azure DevOps, etc. Additional Information: The internship is expected to be a 10-12 week period from May 2026 until the end of July 2026. Housing is not provided, but reasonable rentals may be available through local university student housing offices. The selected candidate will be responsible for their own transportation. A 40-hour work week is set and scheduled by the individual departments. SRMC utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), etc. Each workday has a 30-minute lunch. Interns will be paid a competitive hourly rate; no summer interns will be assigned to shift work; overtime is not available; Interns will be paid for site holidays (Memorial Day, July 4th) as applicable. Assignments will be located in SRMC facilities in Aiken, SC. Public transportation is not available, and interns will be required to arrange their own transportation.
