We're seeking a future team member for the role of Financial Wellbeing Program Manager to join the BNY Hamilton Institute, part of our Enablement and Global Affairs organization. This role can be located in New York, NY, Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL.
The Institute focuses on driving very tailored development for the company's senior leaders, in the context of BNY's culture, strategic pillars and principles. In addition, it guides BNY's approach towards building financial knowledge through structured programs for both our employees in support financial decision making, and to support the financial resilience of our broader communities.
This roles plays a critical role in the design and delivery of financial education initiatives that empower employees to make confident financial decisions and improve their overall wellbeing. This role combines strategic program management with a focus on operational excellence to support employees through every stage of their financial journey. This role will work across internal stakeholders, external vendors and subject matter experts, with a particularly close partnership and collaboration with the People Total Rewards Team to ensure we lead with an “employee-first” approach.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development & Implementation
Develop, launch, and manage scalable financial education programs and experiences that align with business goals and employee needs.
Demonstrate a product-oriented mindset aligned with organizational priorities.
Oversee vendor selection, contract management, and collaboration with financial education providers/ consultants.
Employee Engagement & Education
Serve as a subject matter expert and champion for financial education and wellbeing across the organization.
Create communications and resources that make complex financial concepts simple and actionable.
Tailor communication and programming to meet the needs of employees at different career stages and financial situations.
Data, Measurement & Reporting
Establish KPIs and track program outcomes to assess impact on employee engagement and productivity.
Continuously evolve programs by leveraging industry research, benchmarking, and best practices.
Provide insights and recommendations to applicable stakeholders based on data and employee feedback.
Partnership & Advocacy
Collaborate with People, Benefits, Learning & Development, Philanthropy, and business teams to integrate financial wellbeing into the broader enterprise employee experience strategy.
Stay current on industry trends, emerging tools, and best practices in employee financial education and advocate for financial wellbeing as a driver of productivity, engagement, and retention.
Chair periodic meetings to present outcomes, gather feedback, and with relevant stakeholders prioritize next-gen offerings.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, HR, Education, or related field.
5-8+ years of experience in financial education, learning & development, HR benefits, or financial wellbeing programs.
Strong understanding of personal finance topics and the ability to translate them into relatable, employee-friendly content.
Demonstrated success managing large/complex initiatives and external vendor partnerships.
Experience with global or multi-location program implementation.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to measure and communicate program effectiveness.

What You Will Do

SafeCare Family Services (SFS) at Flagstone Family Shelter & Kensington Family Shelter offers an evidence-based, in-home parenting skills curriculum designed for Brooklyn-based parents at risk of or with a history of child maltreatment, particularly those living at the shelter. The program focuses on three modules: Parent-Child/Parent-Infant Interactions to address neglect and physical abuse, the Health Module for medical neglect risks, and the Home Safety Module to prevent environmental neglect and unintentional injury. SFS primarily conducts home visits, utilizing a structured problem-solving approach for clients with at least one child aged 0-, who can benefit from enhanced parenting skills, have an open or historical neglect case, lack resources or social support, are in the Independent Living Program, are undergoing substance abuse treatment or mental health care, or have shown a lack of supervision and safety.

What The Program Supervisor Does Staff Leadership & Coaching
Supervise and provide strong leadership to at least two Parent Advocates, fostering a high-performance, collaborative team environment.
Motivate, coach, and counsel direct reporting staff to excel in their roles, while also administering constructive discipline and documenting unsatisfactory performance as needed.
Ensure successful completion of the SafeCare model training and certification for self and direct reports in accordance with Georgia State University, and obtain program coach certification to effectively coach Parent Advocates.
Collaborate with SafeCare coaches and direct reporting staff to improve work performance through client feedback, ongoing training, and other appropriate mechanisms.
Program Management & Operations
Plan and organize all program activities to maximize the achievement of contract goals and performance targets.
Oversee all direct service components, including centralized intake, disposition of cases, and assignment of new cases to Parent Advocates.
Provide staff with necessary tools and skills for effective service delivery.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

Comply with any and all Federal, State, City, and CAMBA security and privacy policies intended to protect the security and privacy of individually identifiable health information.
Review all staff case records and client documentation related to clients' progress for accuracy, completeness, and clarity related to SafeCare fidelity.
Administrative & Reporting
Communicate effectively with clients, direct reporting staff, peers, supervisors, and funders.
Participate in administrative and staff meetings as requested.
Provide all required information for weekly, monthly, quarterly, semester, and annual reports to CAMBA management and/or to funders.

Minimum Education/Experience Required
Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) and 2 years of applicable experience and/or equivalent experience. Master's Degree Preferred. (A license is required of these Master's Degrees: Social Work (LMSW or LCSW), Mental Health Counseling, Counseling/Guidance, Art Therapy).
Other Requirements
Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably within a social services or community-based setting.
A minimum of two years of direct experience working with families and children in a shelter-based environment.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey respect, compassion, and empathy while producing clear, concise, and professional documentation and reports.
Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and ensure efficient program operations.

Compensation
Compensation: $58,000 annually

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:
The Director of Residential Treatment Program (OASAS) is responsible for the day to day operation and coordination of an OASAS 819 certified and funded residential services program. Join Fountain House's newest housing innovation-The Community Apartment Program (CAP). The CAP Mental Health Social Practitioner works to help the members of the apartment program live their lives to the fullest and develop independent living skills and social connections. We use community as our tool to do this, and the CAP Mental Health Social Practitioner will use group dinners as well as outings into the neighborhood to engage the 3-4 roommates in each apartment. The group will grow their social connections, hopefully become friends, and use consensus decision making to figure out how they want their apartment set-up. We want our members to have dignified homes and to feel comfortable in their apartment and to connect with the neighborhood.
This position requires interest in community, creativity, and flexibility. There will be no typical day in CAP, but if you could see yourself fostering relationships and connections to community for adults with mental illness by cooking group dinners, taking a group to the movies, assisting someone to learn how to do their laundry at the local laundromat, advocating at a social service provider, or helping one of your members to apply to a job in the community then this could be the position for you.
The CAP Mental Health Social Practitioner will be based at our clubhouse in Hell's Kitchen and in the field at our scattered site apartments. They will work 9 am to 5 pm three days a week and 11 am to 7 pm twice each week. The evening shifts will allow them to cook dinner with their members. During the dinner they will assess the apartment for repairs, engage with the members and support their increase in socialization, social networks, and decrease loneliness and isolation.
Shift: This is a full-time, in-person position, 5 days a week. Work hours are 9 am to 5 pm three days a week and 11 am to 7 pm twice each week, with flexibility required

Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support a member list of 8 individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness to achieve their goals, avoid isolation, and connect to work, school and community.
Provide one-on-one support with individuals living in the Community Apartment Program, including weekly in person face-to-face meetings.
Cook dinner with residents at the members' apartment and facilitate their connection to each other and the community at large.
Engage members in each apartment to decorate and clean so that their housing is as dignified as possible and encourages interaction. The Housing Social Practitioner will use social design to create opportunities for comfort and socializing even when they are not present with the members.
Provide support outside the apartment in the community so that members feel comfortable at their local laundromat, grocery store, pharmacy, etc. and engage the members in social events in the community.
Ensure that the apartment passes necessary health and safety checks for maintenance, cleanliness and perform monthly fire drills.
Create Individualized Service Plans and Service Plan Reviews regularly, according to duration of services.
Develop strong relationships with building management to advocate for members to maintain safe and dignified apartments.
Facilitate discharge planning both for when members move out, but also for when a group of members desire to transition their apartment from this program to a more independent level of support.
Find the positive goals that members have, and engage with them to pursue school, work, and social activity.
Administrative Duties
Maintain and update files according to New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) guidelines.
Correspond and collaborate regularly with various benefit organizations such as Social Security, HRA, SNAP, Medicaid as well as with hospitals and care managers that support our members.
Document all services provided by writing progress notes, service plans, and service plan reviews regularly.

What You Will Do

The Director of Residential Treatment Program (OASAS) is responsible for the day to day operation and coordination of an OASAS 819 certified and funded residential services program. Description:
The Program Director of Community housing reports to the V.P. of Mental Health Services & Housing and is responsible for administrative and property management of the Haven Congregate site 63 units and 135 units of Scatter-site housing. The Program Director of Community Housing ensures that the Agency's mission is carried out; and that the Agency's policy and procedures are adhered to.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide supervision and oversight to programs and management staff.
2. Act as liaison to funding and regulatory bodies such as NYS Office of Addiction Services & Support (OASAS), Human Resources Administration (HRA) & Department of Health & Mental Hygiene (DOHMH).
3. Ensure compliance with all applicable operating regulations and Odyssey House standards and participate in all tenants' annual recertification applications/review within areas of responsibility.
4. Monitor the day-to-day operations of the clinical and facility department to ensure compliance with Odyssey House funding sources.
5. Develop new linkages, affiliations and referral sources with external service providers.
6. Assure that all staff members are trained on and adhere to Odyssey House policies and applicable regulatory standards.
7. Acts as tenant advocate, ensuring that all tenant rights are respected and that all grievances and complaints are addressed in a timely and equitable manner in accordance with Odyssey House policies and all applicable laws and regulations.
8. Review and approve personnel actions for all employees within designated area of responsibility, including recruitment, promotion, disciplinary action and separation of program staff.
9. Prepare written annual evaluations for all direct reports and ensure the evaluations are completed accurately and objectively for all employees within designated areas of responsibility.
10. Prepare all proposals and monthly reports as needed.
11. Supervise the maintenance of adequate and up-to-date records on all tenants, as well as supervise record-keeping responsibilities of staff.
12. Monitor operating budgets in areas of responsibilities making recommendations to improve cost efficiency, allocations, and expenditures.
13. Conduct scheduled management meetings and supervision with all direct reports.
14. Develop, administer, and oversee Quality Management activities within area of responsibility.
15. Establish new linkages with real estate brokers and landlords.
16. Review and sign off on all Leases.
17. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and on call 24/7 when necessary.
18. Other relevant duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1. Advance clinical degree required.
2. License/Certification in a clinical discipline required (i.e. LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, CRC, etc.).
3. 10 years of progressive experience including direct service, supervisory, and administrative practices within a clinical setting including a minimum of 5 years in an administrative or clinical supervisory capacity.
4. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
5. This position requires regular travel between Odyssey House locations and availability for on call responsibilities
