Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Women's and Children Nursing Leader at **Saint Mary's Hospital.** The primary focus of the **Program Director of Women's and Children (WIC) Services** will be to oversee and support all clinical and service programs in the assigned departments including Labor and Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum, Well Baby Nursery, and NICU. This role works closely with the dedicated Nursing Professional Development Specialist for the assigned clinical department to support the mission and vision of the institution, ensure the strategic direction of the department and overall program, and facilitate quality, patient and family-centered care, outcomes including patient satisfaction of our members. The Program Director provides leadership within and across departments and organizations to assure the development of effective and efficient systems and operations. Is accountable for managing human, fiscal and other resources needed to ensure optimal support staffing and positive patient outcomes within the departments.
**_You Will Be Responsible For:_**

+ Ensures high-quality standards of care and a safe environment in compliance with infection control standards, specialty organizations, DPH, and The Joint Commission standards and recommendations, and assures consistent implementation by all staff.

+ Demonstrate ability to lead people through change processes and execute an organizational strategic plan to develop and implement long- and short-range goals and strategies.

+ A track record of effectively partnering and communicating with physicians to achieve objectives and results. Must demonstrate the ability to affect positive medical staff relations while working with highly qualified physicians.

+ **Education** : Bachelor of Science in Nursing, required. A master's degree in health care administration or business administration is preferred.

+ **Registered Nurse** : Valid and Unrestricted Connecticut Registered Nurse license.

+ **Experience** : 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience in Women's Health, Labor and Delivery, or NICU environments, including 1-3 years of clinical nursing management experience.

+ **BLS or CPR certification:** Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.

+ Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks
