DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Program Specialist for the PA Outdoor Corps (Natural Resource Program Specialist 1), your role will involve aiding in the planning and execution of the Pennsylvania Outdoor Corps and associated youth engagement initiatives. This position entails conducting field training in areas such as herbicide application, trail construction, and light building projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating project timelines and environmental education materials, producing outreach content and visual media, and presenting on program operations, performance metrics, recruitment strategies, and partnership opportunities. Furthermore, you will conduct feasibility studies to explore potential areas for program expansion.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Overtime, travel and occasional night, evening, and weekend work required.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 5 days per pay period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Perkasie. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Two years of professional experience in natural resource management or natural resource education; and a bachelor's degree in natural resource management, parks and recreation, education, biology, forestry, ecology, geosciences, environmental sciences, or a closely related field; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
This particular position also requires possession of a valid Class C driver's license that is not under suspension.
You will be required to obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification which will be provided by the agency within 6 months of employment.

About this role As a Residential Program Specialist, you will be responsible for the oversight and monitoring of administrative and programmatic tasks associated with the Residential Habilitation Services programs. In this role, you will supervise a team of site supervisors and direct care staff members serving as a coach and mentor for staff members in similar positions. You will coordinate, develop and review individual program plans in coordination with team members including family members, residential providers to support coordination activities as needed. Creative News Internshave the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to become a News Reporter, Anchor, Producer, Copywriter, or Field Producer. Interns become working members of the "BRC13" News team.
Responsibilities Include:
Accompanying reporter on assignments
Taking part and bringing ideas to daily news meetings
Beat calls
Researching stories
Writing stories
Accompanying videographer and conducting interviews in the field
Running teleprompter or studio camera for live newscasts
Organizing graphics for the newscast
Editing video
Other duties as assigned

BRC13 offers a limited number of internships to students who have completed at least one year of college. We offer both credit and non-credit internships at our main studio in Lehighton, Pennsylvania. Internships are awarded to the strongest candidates after an interview process. Please plan ahead and apply early!
Internship Schedule:

No intern will work in any on-air capacity

There are two steps to apply (see below)
All interviews are conducted at our Studio at 936 Elm Street, Lehighton PA 18235. (all interns also work out of this location)
Internships hours are weekdays only a shift is 9:30am-6pm (interns may work as little as two or as many as 5 days a week depending on college requirements and availability)
Interns are required to successfully complete a background check and drug testing prior to beginning any internship with BRC13
Qualifications:
Must have completed at least oneyear of college
Broadcast Journalism or equivalent communications majors preferred
Established residency in Pennsylvania
Valid PA Driver's License and good driving record

Programming internship job in Allentown, PA
The Game Day InternshipProgram is designed for college students to explore careers in the sport industry while getting hands-on experience working with one of the most successful teams in Minor League Baseball. The IronPig's GDI Program will expose students to numerous game day roles and will allow students to learn from and work alongside IronPigs Front Office Staff members. By experiencing multiple departments, the GDI Program is designed to assist students in choosing which specific direction they are interested in.
Timeline:
The GDI program will begin at the end of March and will conclude in September. Interns are expected to be present for all IronPigs' games they are scheduled for. Although interns will not be scheduled to work 100% of the games, we are looking for qualified candidates that have open availability. We acknowledge that most colleges and universities do not end the school semester until May. The GDI Program is able to work with individuals that are still attending classes at that time.
Hours:
Game day report time is approximately 2.5 hours prior to first pitch (4:30PM for a standard 7:05PM game). GDI's will be dismissed shortly after the game ends when all responsibilities are finished.
College Credit/Compensation:
$40 per game - no housing provided
Game Day Interns are able to earn college credit.
Experience Includes:
Assist in general game day setup including; giveaways, programs and sponsor tables
Handle customer service inquires at front desk and fan services
Assist promo crew with on-field entertainment and escorting mascots
Manage food & beverage stands
Assist the catering department with suites and hospitality areas
Sell IronPigs tickets and resolve ticketing issues
Sell IronPigs merchandise throughout ballpark
Assist promo crew in handing out giveaways, exit distributions
Opportunity to volunteer for special projects (Baseball camps, ballpark events, etc.)
Other responsibilities related to game day operations as assigned by IronPigs Front Office members
Course Objectives:
Students participating in the GDI Program will be exposed to a professional working experience and will gain valuable information in the following categories:

The Importance of event logistics and timing
Executing marketing promotions
Providing customer Service & problem solving
Working as a team to reach a goal
