The successful candidate will bring foundational engineering knowledge to bear on real design and construction challenges and will use AI to accelerate analysis, improve documentation quality, and enhance decision-making. This is not a software development or IT role. Rather, it is an engineering internship where domain expertise comes first and GenAI is used as a force multiplier.
You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and technical teams to frame engineering problems correctly, run calculations and checks, interpret codes and standards, and use AI to assist with tasks such as technical synthesis, project planning, deep research, and early-stage prototyping. Work will be tailored to design and construction projects for factories, infrastructure, and buildings in the US. Work will be primarily within Microsoft Copilot with GPT5, leveraging its reasoning and agentic capabilities.

Work with teams to identify and document AI use cases and workflows grounded in engineering, design, and construction needs.

Salary Transparency Statement

Overall Description:
This internship opportunity is for individuals who have a strong passion for gaining corporate partnership activation and service experience in a high-pace, motorsports and events-oriented environment. This position will be responsible for assisting the Corporate Partnerships team with relationship building, execution and overall management of the team's corporate partnerships throughout their semester. Interns may work during weekends and potentially travel to either help promote CMS events or help our sister tracks' events.
The Corporate Partnerships department involves working with clients and sponsors on a national, regional and local level. The department focuses on fully developing integrated marketing partnerships between the client and the speedway. Reports To: Manager, Client Services Specific Duties include but are not limited to:
Assist Business Development Executives with sales proposals for existing and potential clients, research of companies and other possible sales opportunities
Learn alongside the Corporate Sales BDEs on prospecting, pitching and alongside the Client Services team in executing the partnerships
Support the Client Services team in activating VIP experiences for clients
Create end of event/partnership recaps showing current and potential partners their ROI alongside CS Team
Help execute non-traditional events/facility rentals with furniture and equipment set-ups
Be a key part in data management via our CRM, Salesforce, communicate marketing assets via Basecamp and update our internal Box database
Lead the CMS LinkedIn page via scheduled and organic social posts in partnership with the CMS Social Team
Participate in various weekly meetings and take meeting notes/minutes
Answering inbound phone calls that can potentially involve selling or routing to appropriate departments
All other duties as assigned
