This is a paid internship and the working hours are 37.5 hours per week during the summer months. Work from home may be available up to two days a week once trained to work independently. Our internship program is designed for individuals who are enrolled in an accredited college/university before the start of the summer internship. Candidates should be seeking a degree in Actuarial Science or a related field. Under the general supervision of the Perioperative Services Nurse Educator, nurses will be equipped with the fundamental skills and tools critical to providing patient care in the perioperative setting. Interns will be trained to perform the duties of scrub nurse and circulating nurse. Interns will progressively become more independent during the program. 3. The intern utilizes the nursing process throughout the pre-intra-, and post-operative phases of care. They will: a.Performs preop nursing assessments as demonstrated by a review of patient information. Ensures pertinent information is readily available (e.g. lab reports, consents, history and physical, plan of care); ensures pre-operative medications, preps, and orders have been carried out; verifies patient's identity prior to surgical procedure; institutes patient and family teaching; and completes a verbal hand-off from the preoperative nurse. b.Demonstrates progressive critical thinking skills as demonstrated by the development of intraoperative nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, and plan ofcare. Implements patient specific plan and evaluates the appropriateness of planned or prescribed treatment. Modifies treatment or contacts physician as circumstances require. 4. Interns learn to perform nursing duties according to the policies, procedures, and evidence-based best practice of area assigned. Assists during surgical procedures by ensuring patient safety, preparing and/or directing others in preparation of instruments, equipment and supplies; scrubbing or circulating on cases under the tutelage of expert RN and Surgical Technologist preceptors; anticipating needs of surgeon; maintaining sterile techniques and preventing infection; applying dressings; administering medication; developing the ability to react to life-threatening situations, and providing for total nursing care of patients in the Operating Room. 5. Interns learn to maintain the electronic medical record, reporting pertinent information regarding patient's condition, medication given, and treatments administered during the intraoperative phase of care. 6. Maintains and enhances professional expertise through engaged participation in educational activities and dedication to lifelong learning. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Licensure as Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island by the Rhode Island Board of Nursing or licensure as a Registered Nurse in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing. 1. Location: Middletown, RI Position Overview: MIKEL is seeking a Configuration Management (CM) and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Specialist to support the Submarine Launch Unmanned Aerial System (SLUAS) program in collaboration with NUWCDIVNPT. This position is focused on configuration tracking, logistics documentation development, and systems support for SLUAS installations onboard U.S. Navy platforms. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and proactive in supporting SLUAS' transition to a formal Program of Record (PoR), ensuring the accuracy and readiness of CM/ILS deliverables to the Fleet. Key Responsibilities: Track and manage SLUAS hardware and software configurations across all installed platforms. Support additional tasks requested by team leads in the preparation and delivery of CM/ILS products. Required Qualifications: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from technical leads. Strong organizational skills and a high attention to detail, particularly in tracking configuration and logistics data. Ability to complete assigned tasks on time in support of SLUAS installation schedules and Fleet requirements. Strong written communication skills for technical documentation and process tracking. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in Configuration Management or Integrated Logistics Support, particularly within DoD or Navy programs OR 10 - 12 years of experience as a Fire Control Technician (SS). About the Role Join the Amica AI Center team as an intern and play a hands-on role in driving AI adoption, supporting AI governance, and enabling innovation at Amica. This position is ideal for someone passionate about AI, technology, process improvement, team collaboration, and governance. College junior or senior preferred. Ideal candidate is local to Rhode Island and can be onsite 2-3 days per week. Key Responsibilities Administrative Support & Governance * Maintain AI project data in governance tools, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Includes models, data projects, and agents. * Support documentation and reporting for AI initiatives. Help develop and update PowerBI reports, as needed. * Support AI Governance Committee meeting preparation Copilot Agent Development and Testing * Build and test Copilot agents in Copilot Studio, following established deployment processes. * Develop test scenarios for Copilot agents * Maintain process documentation and support agent governance requirements. Promptathon & Enablement Activities * Support general Copilot enablement efforts, including developing Viva Engage content, providing 1:1 with users on their Copilot questions, and supporting the continued rollout of Copilot. * Help organize and facilitate Promptathon events, including logistics, communications, and participant support. * Assist in developing Promptathon participant materials. Qualifications * Preferred Coursework: * Introduction to Artificial Intelligence * Machine Learning Fundamentals * Data Science or Data Analytics * Information Systems or Computer Science * Programming (Python, R, or similar) * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Outgoing personality with a proactive approach to cross-team collaboration. * Avid interest in AI tools, integration into digital productivity platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365), and enterprise workflows. * Excellent communication and teamwork collaboration skills. * Avid interest in supporting a team with a "start-up" mentality focused on experimentation and continuous improvement. Preferred Skills: * Working knowledge of MS Office365 tools, such as Powerpoint, Excel, Word, and Sharepoint. * Working knowledge of AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, etc. * Knowledge of PowerBI, Microsoft Loop, Microsoft Forms, and Lucid Chart are nice to have. * Experience with administrative tasks, data entry, and workflow-related processes. * Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them to business needs. * Event planning or support experience (e.g., workshops, hackathons, Promptathons).
