Learn propagation, potting, spacing, watering, and production cycles for perennials, annuals, and groundcovers.
Week 4 Nottoway Farm
Work with woody plant material. Assist with tagging, spacing, root pruning, loading, and seasonal preparation. Learn to identify more than twenty common shrubs and trees.

Landscape Design
Week 1 and 2 Design Process and Software

ABILITIES

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
This is an office-based position with minimum physical requirements (ability to lift 25 lbs., walking, climbing stairs) with occasional travel required throughout the Bay Aging service area and the State of Virginia. There may be occasional overnight travel required to attend trainings and conferences.
Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and three to five years of experience in office management, customer service and/or property management.

The Luck Stone summer internship is an 10-week program designed for college students. The program is focused on quarry operations and includes hands-on training in pit and plant activities, including pit design, haul truck and water truck operation, blasting, primary, secondary, and tertiary plant operation and maintenance, quality control, and sales and dispatch. The program is structured to provide training and experience in each area, with a focus on developing competencies in areas such as equipment operation, safety, planning and prioritization, and maintenance. Throughout the program, interns will participate in Luck Stone's safety culture and team-building activities, and will have opportunities to network with industry professionals. At the end of the program, interns will present a summary of their experiences and learning outcomes.
Responsibilities:
