• Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering, software engineering, from an ABET accredited university or college.

About The Role - Material Handler (Upton, WY)
We are excited to announce an opportunity at Orica for a Material Handler within our Orica USA Logistics and Distribution team.
The Material Handler plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate handling of materials at Orica's transload facility in Upton, WY, which operates 7 days a week. This facility includes four silos and supports the daily transfer of ammonium nitrate from railcars to trucks. The role involves operating material handling equipment, performing physical labor-including sledgehammer work in hot conditions-and working at elevated heights to maintain paddle chain conveyors. Maintaining accurate inventory records and adhering to strict safety protocols are essential responsibilities of this position.
Work schedule
Work shift rotation: 4 days on (8-hour shifts), 2 days off
Must be open to working on-site in Upton, WY for all scheduled shifts.
The work schedule includes Sunday through Saturday, with weekend and holiday work required.
Overtime may be available but is not guaranteed or consistent.

Performs preventive maintenance
Performs complex repairs with minimal (if any) support.
Demonstrate the ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents
Diagnoses and repairs complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal (if any) support, utilizing diagnostic computers/software when applicable.
Performs remote triage to with RCRC and customers to determine best solution to assist roadside breakdowns.
Performs facility maintenance duties
Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task.
Instructs and advises other technicians regarding maintenance repair procedures and diagnostics
Coaches/Mentors other level technicians
Advise shop management and other technicians on shop repairs
Utilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available
Works in accordance with all federal/ provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT)
Other support duties as required to support operations. These could include but are not limited to Service Island support.

Lead, organize and coordinate all engineering activities involved in one or more large-scale product development projects from concept to production.
Product and Technology Champion - Champion and lead the development of new products. Study competitive products and new emerging technologies. Make recommendations to upgrade, improve, and evolve products and processes. Work directly with customers, sales teams, and development teams to ensure product meets customer requirements. Study customer applications and propose innovative products and features that improve customer processes. Identify customer application issues and propose solutions to improve those issues. Project Planning, Supervision and Technical Review - Design workflow chart, man-hours, material and activities needed to complete projects. Oversee development of project definitions, specifications and guidelines. Ensure project meets objectives. Lead and manage assigned resources to ensure project timeliness and appropriate direction. Delegate workload to assigned personnel involved with project. Establish scope and work priority. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field

Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including:
Performs standard vehicle maintenance
Performs preventive maintenance
Performs complex repairs with minimal (if any) support.
Demonstrate the ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documents
Diagnoses and repairs complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal (if any) support, utilizing diagnostic computers/software when applicable.
Performs remote triage to with RCRC and customers to determine best solution to assist roadside breakdowns.
Performs facility maintenance duties
Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task.
Instructs and advises other technicians regarding maintenance repair procedures and diagnostics
Coaches/Mentors other level technicians
Advise shop management and other technicians on shop repairs
Utilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available
