Full-time Description The Mechanical Engineer II is responsible for researching, planning, and designing stations and machines using calculations, mechanical principals, and proven practices to create semi/fully automated assembly and test systems. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Researches and analyzes data such as customer request for quote, customer specifications, and PMD's proposal to develop or determine feasibility of design or application. Work within design hour constraints, schedule constraints, and overall machine budget constraints. Work in a collaborative environment to make sure the designs developed are the most cost effective and will meet the customer's requirements. Develop/review concepts to confirm the design will meet required performance metrics including cycle time, yield, uptime, CPK and Gage R&R.
