DAY IN THE LIFE

Responsibilities of the Project Analyst role include:

* Client-interfacing work to collect project technical data and uncover areas of risk
* Applying statistical analysis to quantify your findings
* Writing reports with insight and a customer-focus
* Delivering verbal (including virtual or in-person delivery) feedback and presentations to technical and business audiences
* Working collaboratively with capital project teams and project organizations to improve business competitiveness

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

* A Master's degree (or Bachelor's degree plus relevant work experience) in petroleum or chemical engineering, science, economics, operations research, or allied fields
* Proven track record in analyzing risks, practices, and performance of capital projects in the process industry (infrastructure, energy, chemicals, mining/minerals, consumer products, etc.), and/or experience in a consultancy environment
* Background in carbon research/legislation or other aspects of the energy transition in North America

Tech Project Management Analyst

ICF is seeking an experienced Tech Project Management Analyst to support a large federal agency in the Wash Metro area. This person will help support Project Management Office that establishes and maintains the overall framework for project management practices within the organization to include policy, planning, capacity management, and project reporting. This individual will help collaborate with business management on strategic planning activities and provides project management from initiation and planning of a project through execution, delivery and closing of a project. He/She will help facilitate the use of best practices for project management and define standard processes and playbooks for the governance of projects. In addition, will provides information about project plans, measures and monitors the organizational value of projects to achieve strategic and organizational goals. Establishes standard metrics and benchmarks to provide visibility and streamline reporting for all projects, and serves as the authoritative source for project reporting. This position will work on client site in Arlington, VA (remotely during COVID-19).
What you'll be doing: Serve as an IT Project Manager with a focus on managing and delivering on IT Infrastructure projects and initiatives. Develop, review and analyze project management documents that include but not limited to Project Charters, Project Management Plans and supporting plans, Risk Management Plans, Communication/Training Plans, Business Cases etc. according to organizational standards Influence effectively between the Business IT to support delivery, risk mitigation, change management, and issue resolution Approve or modify existing system design and architecture plans and documentation to ensure forward compatibility and compliance with established standards Lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or system problems using solid systems architectural and systems engineering principles Provide advice and assistance on relevant technical subjects, contract solicitation and contract management to infrastructure IT management and executive leadership Analyze alternative options and recommending the most suitable and economically feasible for the project Maintain and present project status reports, seeking direction from management, as appropriate. What you'll need: 5 years of IT Projects management experience including business process management, financial reporting and sourcing & contracting management 3 years of Enterprise and infrastructure experience coordinating operations of multiple technical environments with cross functional teams, including network engineering, operations, support, and facilities management. Demonstrated understanding of current infrastructure concepts including but not limited to servers, database management, storage, networks, data centers and monitoring in a fast paced, high availability environment. * Have a thorough understanding of the overall scope, schedule, and budget of work for each project in order to support proposals, project set-up, and execution.

Qualifications

Desired Skills and Experience

* A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required or relevant experience.
* Minimum three years of related experience in Project Accounting and/or budgeting; experience in project support/coordination.

Knowledge of GAAP, Federal Acquisition Regulations, Service Contract Act, Davis Beacon Act, etc.

Highly proficient in Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Power Point, and Microsoft Word skills are a plus.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are essential.
