The Project Architect will be the point of contact for clients. This person will manage project resources (both internal and external), budget, and schedule. This full-time position typically works a flexible schedule of 40 hours a week. We also provide employees with the flexibility and necessary equipment to work from home up to 2 days per week. The Columbus office of Toole Design opened in 2018 and is conveniently located in downtown Columbus on Broad Street, across from Capitol Square. The office is easily accessed on foot, by bicycle, and via transit, or by car.

Technical Know-How: Strong working knowledge of zoning and building codes, specifications, building/engineering systems, and agency requirements (NFPA, ADAAG, FGI, OBC, IBC etc).

Essential Functions
Independently produces finished plans, specifications and approval of materials and construction on moderate to large scale projects.

Perform construction administration duties, such as site visits, RFI responses, submittals, and punch list reviews.
Create and review projects reports, estimates, calculations, specifications, and compile/analyze relevant data.
Responsible to monitor billing efficiency rates and work at maximizing team's quality and efficiency in assigned tasks.
Proactively coordinates meetings with client, project team, consultants, and contractor meetings to ensure trust and confidence.
Provide technical guidance to less experienced project associates and interns.
Involve explorations of subject area, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation, and development of complex or novel concepts and methods.
Contribute innovative design ideas that consistently capture the intended design vision.
