Job Summary The Project Coordinator will manage department level projects and provide support on large, complex, enterprise-level projects. This position will use proven and best practice project management processes to ensure effective implementation of assigned projects. The project coordinator will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of assigned projects ensuring consistency with organizational strategy, commitments, and goals. The project manager will also provide support for people change/adoption management on all assigned projects and support or lead departmental lean process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities The duties include, but are not limited to: TEAM LEAD: Coordinate and lead team meetings working closely with project leadership. Ensure members are presented with current information on the status of all current projects by executing the project communications plan (providing oral and/or written status reports, team lead and team member project schedule task reports, etc.). PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Implement IE's standardized project management methodology and templates to plan and manage a variety of large, complex, university-wide, and enterprise-level projects simultaneously. Create and execute project charters and project management plans (scope statement, deliverables, budget management plan, project budget, organizational charts and/or team charters, risk management plan, risk log, issue management plan, issues log, work breakdown structure, resource allocations, project schedule, vendor management plan, project training plan, project communications plan, project change management, etc.) and review as appropriate with project leadership to meet changing needs and requirements. Facilitate overall project assessment (lessons learned). Identify, negotiate, and ensure adequate resources are available and allocated to projects by working with the departmental resource managers. JOB SUMMARY: The Student Success and Community Engagement Project Coordinator is responsible for working with students pursuing education by providing academic guidance, coordinating field and clinical experiences, and fostering strong community partnerships focused on literacy. The coordinator will also advise student organizations and lead initiatives that enhance student engagement and community impact. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Student Support & Advising Serve as a liaison for students entering or exploring education. Assist the Department in monitoring student academic progress and providing individualized support. Advise education-related student organizations, including the Georgia Association of Educators (GAE). Field Experience & Volunteer Coordination Coordinate volunteer placements. Assist the Director with field experience placements. Collaborate with faculty and partner schools to ensure alignment with licensure and program requirements. Community Engagement & Literacy Initiatives Develop and implement community-based projects focused on literacy and educational outreach. Build and maintain partnerships with local schools, after-school programs and community organizations. Program Development & Leadership Lead initiatives that promote student success and professional development. Track and report on student engagement, program outcomes, and community impact. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree Experience in student advising, K-12 education, or community engagement. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated commitment to literacy, equity, and student development. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Familiarity with teacher preparation programs and licensure requirements. Experience working with diverse student populations. Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across departments. JOB SUMMARY This position is a temporary, short-term position to assist the Center for Biotechnology undergraduates with research projects in the laboratory. MAJOR DUTIES Assist with achieving program objectives. Help the Ph.D. prepare and collect data for the annual program evaluation. Collect and process student applications, prepare requisitions, assist with preparing, collecting, and analyze student evaluations, and ensure the smooth and efficient communication and management of the project. Organize the annual research day; track student participation in mentoring teams; track student participation with faculty advisors, ensuring proper function of committees. Encourage undergraduates to pursue research-quality careers in STEM and biotechnology; help students apply and obtain summer internships; collaborate with the faculty from the higher-education (MS/Ph.D.) in keeping track of the students after they leave FVSU; and write annual reports. Evening/night/weekend work - Monday - Friday; occasionally weekends PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The applicant must be able to bend, safely work with undergraduates and provide training as needed and stand, as well as stand for extended periods of time.
