Maintains PCard for use by branch.
Supports sales efforts as needed.

The Role

The Role
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
This position will support facilities in either the technical services, project management, or crane engineering team. This position needs project management skills and major project experience with the planning, engineering, design and construction of heavy industrial buildings, dry docks, piers and heavy waterfront, equipment design and procurement and major industrial projects. Position provides high level cost estimating, project planning, risk analysis and mitigation, engineering design review and approval, and field engineering support for the design and construction of heavy industrial buildings and waterfront/ship construction facilities. Candidate will be responsible for all aspects of project management including technical proposal development, proposal review, construction planning, development of project financials, metrics and budget tracking, engineering drawing/submittal review and approval, review of contractor safety and quality plans, start up and commissioning. Position also involves surveillance and management of multiple contracted design engineering firms and contracted construction work. Position also provides technical work instructions, commissioning and construction checklists and ensuring a quality product is delivered.
Position also involves coordination and management of structural, civil, electrical, mechanical engineering disciplines, customers, stakeholders and outfitting trades to enable building/facility construction.
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
NNS Apprentice School graduate
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience

Nice to Have
Experience and Knowledge in National Building Codes, Plumbing Codes, Mechanical Codes, AISC, ACI, NFPA, and OSHA regulations is preferred

Ability to document unwritten processes and train less-experienced team members
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Experience managing capital, expense, and direct budgets
Certification with the American Welding Society (AWS) as a certified weld inspector is desirable
Heavy industrial facilities experience is desirable
