CALIBRE Systems Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Information Technology Services company, is looking for an Energy Project Developer. Support includes providing technical expertise to Government decision makers for energy program requirements, interpretation, and development of program guidance, and assists with development of policy/guidance for energy program planning and evaluation.
The Project Developer will:

Conduct and review installation energy project and security assessments; Collect, compile and analyze installation, regulatory, resource, and market background necessary to thoroughly assess and recommend energy project opportunities; Identify holistic installation energy security solutions and path forward to implement via private and/or appropriated funding; and Provide support in the identification and development of a renewable and alternative energy security pipeline and portfolio, including resolving program execution issues, developing and coordinating communications, meetings, and other special projects.


Required Skills

Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills; Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, project-centric environment; Solid skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Work will be conducted with minimal supervision and selected applicant must have demonstrated independent problem-resolution skills.


Required Experience

Must have an active a Secret Clearance More than 8 years' experience with development of multiple large scale energy projects Must have a BS/BA Experience with development of large scale energy projects Understanding of energy resilience priorities and experience conducting installation energy project and security assessments Experience collecting, compiling and analyzing installation, regulatory, resource, and market background necessary to thoroughly assess and recommend energy project opportunities. Ability to identify holistic installation energy security solutions and path forward to implement via private and/or appropriated funding. Experience supporting the identification and development of a renewable and alternative energy security pipeline and portfolio, including resolving program execution issues, developing and coordinating communications, meetings, and other special projects Experience working with DoD installation organizations Understands the following technologies: solar power, wind, geothermal, hydro, biomass, or technologies and projects. Functions as the subject matter expert for evaluation and implementation of renewable energy (e.g. solar power, wind, geothermal, hydro, biomass) project opportunities. Works collaboratively to promote a team environment.

Associate Project Developer (full time)

AES is an established and rapidly growing renewable energy company headquartered in Salt Lake City, with additional offices in San Francisco, Long Beach, New York, and Richmond, VA. AES is currently seeking an Associate Project Developer to lead the continued development of its greenfield solar, wind, and energy storage pipeline, with experience in the Renewable Energy Industry with a focus on Photovoltaic Systems.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:


Handle new and existing early stage solar, solar + storage and standalone energy storage assets throughout the US, focused on the Southeastern US Coordinate with the internal Land, Permitting, Engineering and Interconnection teams as well as outside consultants on an as needed basis to ensure that projects are meeting development milestones, development risks are being mitigated, and project returns are maximized Initiate and/or support relationships with local jurisdictions to ensure projects are obtaining all possible incentives and have good standing within the local communities Maintain development asset database with core project inputs and status updates Conduct financial modeling and analysis of prospective development projects, as well as maintain current models for the development pipeline Assist in acquisition of development assets and/or platforms on an as needed basis Support the Land, Permitting and Interconnection teams on an as needed basis with research, analysis and in-person meetings or phone calls Support the Commercial Power Marketing teams on an as needed basis for RFP responses and other off-taker outreach Research emerging renewable energy markets and identify new development prospects



Desired Skills and Expertise:


Outstanding organizational, communication, decision making/problem solving, analytical and time management skills. 2+ years' experience administering energy projects and/or project financing of renewable energy projects Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Office.. Able to demonstrate experience dealing successfully with peers, subordinates, management, and unaffiliated third parties Exceptional presentation and communication skills Passion for renewable energy industry BA/BS degree required with concentration in business, finance, economics, engineering, environmental sciences and/or other quantitative/environmental fields

As a Solar Project Developer at Centrica Business Solutions you will assist the development of solar projects and solar and storage projects in the {Western US} market. The Solar Project Developer will work closely with business development, management, engineering, project management, and construction staff to identify, assess and structure technical and financial solutions for customers' renewable and energy efficiency needs.

The Solar Project Developer possesses a strong technical aptitude and the communication and business acumen to translate customer needs into technical guidelines.
Our Solar Project Developers contribute to the team by:

Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Project Management, and Project Development Overseeing and/or performing the design and budgeting of projects Creating PV Solar System designs and professional quality renderings for inclusion in proposals such as site plans, single line diagrams Engineering analysis including production estimates, baseline profiles, end-use analysis and retrofit analysis and system optimization with solar design software Auditing sites as needed for PV solar installation suitability, environmental limitations, structural limitations, etc. Managing 3rd party vendor relationships and Scope of Work/proposals. (i.e. Electrical and Structural partners) Responsible for developing proposals, reports, and presentations Preparing project technical write-ups and detailed project costing Working with Management to develop market growth plans Cultivating and fostering customer relationships


The core components needed to be successful in this role are (i.e. must haves):


BA/BS degree, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business or a related field 4+ years of work experience in Engineering, Operations, Sales. Or a related field Experience in commercial and industrial Solar projects Good understanding of construction and solar Experience with AutoCAD, Sketchup or similar image manipulation programs
