Understanding of construction cost, scheduling, estimating and engineering principles and techniques, as well as accounting principles, a plus. About This Role As a Project Engineer Intern, you will gain exposure to real-world project operations and the electrical industry. The Project Engineer Intern will work closely with our experienced project management team, supporting them in day-to-day tasks while developing an understanding of project lifecycles and workflows, documentation processes, and industry practices. The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented individual who is looking to build foundational knowledge in project coordination, problem-solving, and communication in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other reports Support project management team with day-to-day tasks such as job setup, invoice/labor review, billings, permitting, scheduling, etc. Help coordinate between field teams, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution Participate in job walks and meetings Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents Assist with preparing reports to track costs and overall project progress Provide general administrative and project support as needed Competencies & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Pursuing a bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to read/willingness to learn to interpret electrical drawings and technical documents Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a project team environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with project management software is a plus Compensation This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Compensation for this position is $25.00 per hour.
