Allen Consulting, Inc is looking for a Mechanical Engineer for our office in Norman, Oklahoma. This position designs (HVAC) Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning systems for buildings. This position also designs plumbing and fire suppression systems.
We provide design and consulting services for a broad range of projects both local and out of state. We are searching for a mechanical design engineer to help keep up with our growing workload. We need full time help.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will take part in the following activities:
· Preparation of quality mechanical and plumbing construction documents including drawings, specifications, and reports for buildings in healthcare, educational, office and institutional market sectors.
· Design Heating ventilation and air conditioning system, plumbing, and fire suppression systems.
· Perform HVAC load calculations, plumbing calculations, and any other calculations required to support mechanical design.
· Review mechanical documents for areas of conflict with all building systems.
· Close coordination with the client and the entire design team, including owners, architects, contractors, members of other disciplines, and internal support staff to ensure the design is consistent with the client's vision, to ensure a fully coordinated interdisciplinary design, and to ensure the design schedule is maintained.
· Work closely with equipment vendors and manufacturers' representatives for selection and specification of appropriate equipment.
· Play an active role in project meetings with clients and colleagues.
· Learn design software such as AutoCAD and Revit. Word, Excel, and Trane Trace.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Have ABET-accredited degree in Mechanical Engineering.
· No work experience required for this position but any experience is a bonus.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Exceptional organizational skills with ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
· Capable of grasping and retaining mechanical design principles and working independently.
· Desire to work in a fast-paced team environment to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
· Willing to travel to project sites as required.

CEC is seeking a proven Civil/Structural Project Engineer with a specialization in bridge and transportation projects to help broaden and enhance our Transportation Practice. This position will directly support CEC's mission to eliminate aging infrastructure and drive community growth by delivering quality solutions, design, and service to its clients. CEC's Transportation team has a long history of state and local agency transportation services consisting of technical expertise from our Oklahoma offices and emerging offices in Texas and Arkansas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as project engineer with autonomy for project-related tasks and as a designated client contact. May have project management responsibilities on multiple projects. Responsible for successful completion of projects, including schedule, budget, and profitability.
Develops feasible engineering design alternatives to meet project requirements. Performs structural calculations, modeling, analysis, and design.
Utilizes computer software to create or assist in the creation of detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts, including, but not limited to, plan and profile views, cross sections, details, and schedules, for the construction of bridge components, such as decks, steel and concrete beams, bearings, piers, and abutments.
Prepares contract documents including technical reports, studies, plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, and permitting for projects. Maintains project records and performs project administration.
Performs field visits to inspect existing structures and identify necessary repairs.
Participates in and ensures QC/QA procedures are followed. Maintains accurate design standards and procedures in assigned work.
Reviews shop drawings and responds to RFIs.
Collaborates and coordinates with other engineers, designers, and technicians on project activities.
Provides technical support, guidance, and input to design team. Assists in training and development of technicians and other team members.
Develops, fosters, and maintains client relationships. Pursues repeat or follow-up work with current clients.
Coordinates with Department leadership and Accounting regarding project invoicing and collections.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in civil or structural engineering from ABET accredited university; Master's degree (M.S.) with emphasis in structural engineering is desired.
Three or more years of progressive experience specific to engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required. If not licensed in Oklahoma, Texas, and/or Arkansas, must be able to obtain licenses within six months of start date.
