Participate in and provide technical feedback for new initiatives and product development. Partner with R&D in new product development to ensure successful engineering and equipment selection to deliver required process transformations.
Property, Buildings and Facilities Ownership
Maintain property records for site including titles, deeds, and surveys. Manage document preparations for permits and permit records. Develop and maintain facilities master plans for maintenance (structural integrity) and improvements including communal areas, roofs, HVAC, plumbing, sewers, floors, etc. Manage interface with Company Risk Management Manager and Insurance Provider (currently FM Global).
Manage the utilities department and systems at the plant. Ensure proper maintenance of all utility's equipment including the use of appropriate Operations Excellence standards and PSM requirements.
Business Continuity Plan (BCP) Ownership
Lead the development of the plant BCP to address personnel, property, facility, utility, and equipment needs after a business interruption.
Own the plant BCP ongoing and make updates and revisions, as necessary.
Provide Technical Safety, Environmental and Sustainability Leadership
Provide input to technical safety programs (Process, Combustion, Pressure Vessel, Fire, and Thermal & Electrical). Ensure all projects meet tech safety and environmental requirements through coordination with and audits by the Plant HS&E Leader.
Work with Sustainability Leader(s) on efforts to meet sustainability goals including energy, water, and waste reduction.

This role serves as a project manager for capital and expense projects of all sizes using the AmSty Project Delivery Work Process. This position also provides technical support to the Production and Maintenance Departments. The successful candidate will work closely with Production, Maintenance, Environmental, and Health and Safety teams to develop and execute projects for the St James facility.Primary Responsibilities
Develops and implements projects which improve the profitability, operability, reliability, safety, and environmental performance of the St. James Plant in accordance with Business Plan and Plant Specific objectives
Plans and leads the efforts of the project team through the development and execution of projects
Develops the scope of projects, evaluating options, and obtains management approval
Obtains funding for the projects
Opens, manages, and closes projects in SAP and periodically reports status to management
Reports progress and forecasting costs on a regular basis
Prepares bid specifications, evaluates bids, and selects engineering and construction contractors
Monitors/manages the design and construction of projects to ensure that they are engineered and built according to key project plans and company standards
Monitors/controls the cost and timing of projects to keep expenditures and schedules within the limits authorized by management
Manages the start-up of projects and project closure activities in a safe and timely manner so that project benefits can be fully realized
Provides turnaround support, troubleshooting, and engineering analysis
Performs other duties as assigned or needed
Job Requirements
3+ years' experience in a chemical processing or refinery environment

Broad generalized knowledge of chemical, civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering

Overview
The Electrical Energy Engineer for the Development Team is responsible for independently assessing building electrical systems while performing technical on-site surveys and in-office analysis on assigned projects. Analysis will include participation in technical studies, investigations, and development of energy-efficient scope on assigned projects.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include:
• Assists in the production of projects that are on-time, within-budget, and meet the requirements of industry standards & codes and client specifications.
• Leads, schedules, and conducts site surveys to determine existing facility electrical equipment, interconnection, metering, and conditions independently. Assists in identifying and preparing energy efficient scope of schematic design phase of projects.
• Performs electrical system calculations including solar energy generation, battery sizing, generator power system sizing, wire and panel sizing, electric vehicle charging, etc.

• Designs and prepares documentation for electrical systems for projects including solar arrays, battery energy storage systems, electric vehicle charging systems, combined heat & power systems, central energy plant expansion needs, and demand response programs.
• Assists Mechanical Survey Team with necessary electrical infrastructure designs to support proposed mechanical equipment changes/upgrades. Can include design work involving switchgears, switchboards, manual/automatic transfer switches, transformers, metering, and generators.
• Assists all Renewables Team members with questions concerning electrical engineering design, codes, and one line diagram creation.
• Assists the development team in the coordination with other disciplines, including energy modeling, demand management, financial modeling, lighting, detailed design, etc.
• Assist the Director-DER with Quality Control reviews of project work by other team members.
• Attends and/or teaches in-house and external training sessions in necessary technical areas related to building systems.
