Requires the use of advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories, precepts, and practices of own field and related sciences or disciplines, including practical field experience. Consults supervisor or principal engineer concerning unusual problems and/or developments.
Key Accountabilities
An Engineer II will perform most of these duties at an intermediate level
Applies strong knowledge and background of engineering principles to the midstream industry.
Develops, coordinates, and directs critical projects or field engineering assignments that are large and/or complex.
Provide analysis, design, specification and cost estimates for jurisdictional and non-jurisdictional natural gas gathering and transmission systems.
Develop scope of work, manage bid process and pipeline and facility design/construction.
Review and assess new technology, processes, materials and equipment.
Frame engineering/operational problems and propose solutions.
Monitor and support engineering related activities as related to field construction projects.
Monitor system performance and prepare long and short-term facility plans including costs.
Must be able to make sound engineering decisions under limited time constraints.
Initiates or performs engineering studies, proposing solutions or recommending alternatives.
Prepare written procedures to facilitate construction, maintenance, pipeline integrity assessments and operation of gas transmission and gathering systems.
Provide technical support to field as needed.
Prepare and present technical reports on projects.
Contribute to the development of the budget and containment of project costs.
Conduct studies and analyses to assist in the resolution of engineering-related issues; may assist with developing engineering standards and practices.
Mentors and provides guidance/direction for less experienced personnel.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and three to five years of job related experience is required. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, and meet company-driving standards.
Other Qualifications Preferred:
Gathering and transmission pipeline and facility design and/or pipeline integrity management experience
Professional Engineer license and/or Master's Degree
Other Requirements:
Knowledge of design, installation and commissioning of gas pipeline system including gathering and transmission pipelines, gas/liquid separation, heating and flow/pressure regulation, measurement and odorization
Knowledge of planning and execution of pipeline integrity management tasks including ILI and DA, pipeline remediation, threat identification, risk assessment and records management
Knowledge of industry codes and standards including applicable Federal, State, and local regulations, laws, and codes, ASME Piping Codes, National Electric Code, CFR 192, DOT, and PHMSA rules and regulations.
Strong analytical, planning, organization, time management and problem solving skills
Ability to lead cross functional teams
Ability to interpret blueprints/drawings/schematics and other design documents
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with people at all levels both within and outside the company.

We are currently looking to hire an Abandoned Mine Lands (AML) Senior Project Manager/Engineer for our Pittsburgh, PA office.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist with the preparation and compilation of reclamation plans for AML projects. Responsibilities will include assisting with cost estimates, developing reclamation plans with a team of AML specialists, and compiling/finalizing plans for submittal to the regulatory agencies.
Preparation of plans, specifications, and design drawings to support various projects involving environmental remediation, reclamation, gas pipeline and well pads, site development, water, wastewater and stormwater management systems;
Assist with the preparation of permitting packages required by governmental entities including, but not limited to: the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP), the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (WVDEP), county conservation districts, and/or local municipalities for the completion of surface and underground mining projects and Oil & Gas projects, abandoned mine land projects and site development;
Ability to interpret and develop detailed drawings from sketches and mark ups provided by others;
Provide technical support and oversight of AutoCAD drawing production by others;
Hands-on technical analysis of designs at various project locations;
Preparation of new details and design elements or modification of existing drawings based on redlines provided by others;
Interfacing with local, state and federal regulatory agencies.
Writing, reviewing and compiling reports-of-findings and permit applications;
Communicate effectively and efficiently with project team members;
Provide general project support;
Abide by Atlas' health and safety policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering field;
7+ years of relevant experience with environmental permitting in design and implementation;
Possess a Professional Engineer (PA) license in Pennsylvania and/or West Virginia; Understanding of Federal and Pennsylvania environmental regulations; (SMCRA: Titles IV and V, Title 25: Chapters 77, 78, 86, 102 and 105). Knowledge of Ohio and West Virginia regulations is a plus.
Strong technical knowledge in planning and designing AML and reclamation projects, impoundment design and inspections, site design, highwall reclamation design, site grading, stormwater design, preparing technical reports, and acid mine drainage (AMD) treatment process(es) and mitigation;
Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D is strongly preferred;
Excellent interpersonal and effective oral and written communication skills with clients, regulators and senior management;
Ability to occasionally travel to local and out-of-town project sites, up to 20%.

Qualifications:
University degree or college diploma in the field of mechanical /energy engineering or architectural engineering, or Air Conditioning (HVAC) industry knowledge.
A current professional engineer's license in at least one state is preferred.
Certified Energy Manager with the Association of Energy Engineers is preferred.
Required background and security screening for Customer facility access
Minimum of 10 years of energy engineering experience is required and a basic understanding of central utility plants, HVAC equipment and Building Automation Systems (BAS) controls
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Utilized in this Position Include:
Knowledge of engineering and construction practices in retrofit / renovation applications obtained through demonstrated experience;

Required Qualifications

Desired Characteristics
Experience in the field of instrument or power transformers.
2D and 3D on-hands drafting experience is required.
Initiative, ability to plan, organize and prioritize work, analytical and problem-solving skills, good interpersonal relationship, and team player. Excellent time management skills
Experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in electrical and magnetic analysis and EMTP/ATP is a plus.
Good communication skills are necessary for this position, including written and verbal English.

Minimum Requirements:
