Role description:
Arcadis is looking for an experienced Geologist or Hydrogeologist to join our Resilience Environment team.
As a Geologist/Hydrogeologist, you will assist with and manage a variety of site investigation and remediation projects under CERCLA, RCRA, and state regulatory programs throughout the United States. You will be responsible for performing project work, supervising and mentoring entry/junior-level staff, and growing client relationships.
Role accountabilities:
* Prepare work plans and reports; and develop scopes of work, schedules, cost estimates, and health and safety plans for projects under RCRA, CERCLA, and state programs.
* Assist project managers with project planning, budgeting, schedule monitoring, and managing project controls.
* Assist with selecting subcontractors and developing subcontract agreements.
* Plan and coordinate field activities that may include conducting site visits, condition assessments, implementing work plans, overseeing subcontractors/field crews, directing field geologists conducting drilling oversight and/or groundwater monitoring well and extraction well installation, media (e.g., soil, groundwater, vapor) sampling, remedial construction, and O&M activities.
* Review and analyze environmental data, identify data gaps, develop conceptual site models, and conduct fate and transport analyses of contaminants in impacted media.
* Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality and safety standards.
* Interface directly with clients and serve as the point of contact for projects.
