Responsible for the entire implementation process and drive definition of business needs

· Responsible for the entire implementation process and drive definition of business needs

· Lead cross functional teams through the entire implementation process

· Responsible for overall solution design including building and testing

· Conduct root cause analysis and advanced performance tuning for complex business processes and functionality

· Identify, define and implement needed enhancements in the methods, standards and processes to better enable teams and constructive enterprise applications

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience.

· 5+ years of related experience. Requires demonstrated understanding of business process as it relates to experience in the field.

· Software development experience.

· Expert knowledge in C#, .Net Core, Entity Framework, API development.

· Expert knowledge of Java Script, Lead experience, Training experience.

· Expert knowledge in Web development using HTML, XLM, XSL, XSLT, jQuery, CSS and AJAX.

· Expert level understanding of IT processes and disciplines (e.g. software development, operations, and infrastructure).

· Experience creating queries using SQL or T-SQL and working with relational databases, such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.

Job Responsibilities

You will be an engineering leader on a multi-disciplinary Software Product Engineering team working within a multi-regional, cross-functional software product organization. The Product Engineering team provides engineering guidance for new features that deliver value to our commercial airline customers. You will be responsible for working with the Product Management team and airline customers to generate and translate business needs into feature specifications and a development plan, and will support the Engineering teams as they execute throughout the product lifecycle. The solutions you design will interact with a complex and dynamic satellite networking system and cloud enabled ground segment, requiring a broad multidisciplinary understanding and approach to problems.

In this role, you will w ork with Product Management to understand product feature needs and perform technical translation, Turn customer requirements into software acceptance criteria, Drive the planning and estimations of initiatives through collaboration with the DevOps teams, Analyze protocol specifications and assist in software understanding and decomposition, Work with DevOps leads to define Epics that independently add business value but preserve the system architecture, Work with DevOps leads to turn Epic status into program level status, Work with DevOps to define and in some cases document interfaces, Mediate technical conversations between the engineering organization and the customer, Assist with the definition of system test plans and procedures, Partner with product owners and team leads on delivery roadmap and product features, Represent architectural perspective of product boundaries to the team, and wo rk with the other members of the Product Engineering team to incorporate features into a technical roadmap that feeds into the overall product portfolio roadmap for the business.

Requirements


8+ years experience as a technical leader within Project Engineering and systems Engineering BS in EE, CS, or related field Ability to bridge the desires of the customer with the capabilities of the product by carrying technical expertise into strategic conversation about products Able to lead multiple teams within a cross functional engineering organization Experience with Linux, iptables firewall and internet networking protocols Experience with defining and maintaining interface specifications Ability to influence and drive software engineering teams to help meet business needs through technical guidance Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive Experience with leading systems level analysis and design by quickly understanding new technologies and domains, capturing use cases, and translating this into work to be done by cross functional software development teams Excellent communication and collaboration skills to drive interaction with product managers, customers, and developers Write both technical and non-technical documentation that is clear, concise, and speaks to a wide audience Problem solver with excellent leadership skills who can motivate others to reach company objectives Up to 10% Travel
