The Senior Project Manager - MEP oversees all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and Low-Voltage scopes on a large-scale commercial construction project. This role manages MEP trades, ensuring all systems are designed, coordinated, procured, installed, and commissioned according to contract requirements, schedule milestones, safety expectations, and MATT quality standards.
Responsibilities
Lead all phases of MEP project delivery-from preconstruction through commissioning
Manage large scale ($100M+) in MEP subcontractor scope
Administer procurement, contracts, cost control, forecasting, and schedule integration
Coordinate with design teams, BIM/VDC, commissioning agents, and field leadership
Support field installation, testing, inspections, and turnover activities
Facilitate MEP coordination, OAC, and stakeholder communication
Mentor and supervise project engineers and assistant project managers
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, experience will be considered in lieu of education
10+ years of commercial construction experience with large-scale MEP leadership
Strong understanding of MEP systems, design coordination, sequencing, and commissioning
Experience managing budgets, contracts, risk, and subcontractor performance
Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, scheduling, and BIM platforms
Proven ability to independently navigate, interpret, and apply 3D BIM models to identify conflicts, drive coordination, and educate team members
