Even though most project/process managers have a college degree, it's possible to become one with only a high school degree or GED.

When we researched the most common majors for a project/process manager, we found that they most commonly earn bachelor's degree degrees or master's degree degrees. Other degrees that we often see on project/process manager resumes include associate degree degrees or high school diploma degrees.

The best states for people in this position are Washington, California, Connecticut, and New Jersey. Project/process managers make the most in Washington with an average salary of $135,630. Whereas in California and Connecticut, they would average $130,045 and $116,754, respectively. While project/process managers would only make an average of $116,076 in New Jersey, you would still make more there than in the rest of the country.
