As a Surgical Technologist, you will provide appropriate instrumentation and sterile supplies for surgical cases. You will also assist the surgeons during the procedures and help prepare operating rooms for procedures. Responsibilities: Prepare the surgical procedures with the correct instrumentation, and sterile supplies. Assist surgeons with gowning and gloving. Assist with draping the patient. Pass instrumentation and sutures. Maintain a safe and sterile field at all times; Report and correct breaks in sterile technique. Assist with the turnovers; this includes wiping off the furniture, mopping the floor, taking dirty instrumentation to decontaminate and taking linens and garbage to the waste storage room. Put away supplies in the OR, ensuring package integrity, product sterility, and overall orderliness of area. Assist in the case picking or assembling instrument sets in central sterile as necessary. Surgical Technician - Surgery General - Providence Mount Carmel Hospital at Colville, WA Schedule: Part Time, Day Shift, 32 hours a week Responsible to function as the surgical technician in the surgical suite and other clinical areas. The surgical technician will, under the direction of the circulating RN, perform tasks which consists of the selection and set-up of the sterile table with instruments, supplies and equipment; the passing of instruments to the surgeon during the procedure; maintaining sterile technique and caring for instruments following the procedure. The Surgical technicians will, under the supervision of the RN, assist in circulating duties as assigned and assume the defined role of surgical tech, relief tech or turnover team member in order to meet the key performance indicators for the efficient flow of patients through the OR experience. Required Qualifications: + Coursework/Training: Graduate of a Registered Surgical Technician program. + Washington Surgical Technologist Registration upon hire. + National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. + Current experience as a registered Surgical Technologist.
