Program Description:
Starwood Capital's Internship Program is 9-weeks long and we select a group of highly motivated summer interns with the goal of identifying talent for our Full-time Analyst Program. Our size and structure provides individuals with a high level of responsibility and the unique opportunity to work directly with senior management, joint venture partners, investment bankers, brokers and commercial lenders in all real estate classes. Summer Interns will participate in a variety of specialized trainings that will refine their skills and assist them in transitioning into the professional working environment of Starwood and the investment industry as a whole. A mentorship driven program allows our Summer Interns to create lasting relationships that will support the continued growth of a successful career.

Responsibilities:
Interns will gain experience to multiple aspects of STWD's business as they rotate through Originations/Debt Acquisitions and Underwriting.
Real estate valuation analysis, excel modeling Real estate loan origination (whole loan, mezzanine, preferred) and acquisitions including secondary market transactions and commercial mortgage backed securities (CMBS) Preparation of presentations and memoranda evaluating investment merits and risks, market dynamics, and projected investment returns Credit, legal, market and other diligence Transaction execution, including negotiation of loan documentation Market research and assistance with ongoing portfolio management

CARROLL is seeking dynamic college students in their junior year to join us for a paid summer internship during the summer of 2023. We invite you to spend eight weeks with us learning and living the multi-family property management life while building your skills and laying the foundation for a career in property management.

As an intern with Carroll, you will:

• Participate in a 4-week Leasing rotation learning how to build relationships with residents and prospective residents, develop closing skills that will secure lease agreements and build marketing strategies for your property
• Shadow our Maintenance teams taking you “behind the scenes” as we ensure our residents have positive living experiences
• Spend 2-weeks shadowing an our property management team learning the legal and financial aspects of the business, operating systems, financial reporting, owner expectations and vendor relationships.

Requirements

The Strategic Sourcer is responsible for the sourcing strategy for all commodities and direct materials that support product development and production for Avionics division programs of Commercial Aviation Solutions Sector; create detailed commodity strategies and manage suppliers to simplify our supply base and reduce material cost by implementing negotiation strategies while ensuring product availability; support multiple stakeholders. The individual will be responsible for approximately $100M spend across different commodities; mainly electronics and metals. Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of electronics and metals commodities and in-depth knowledge of project management.

New Product Introduction partner with our new product/project teams to develop supplier relationships and source new materials necessary to develop breakthrough products in our category along with supporting and driving Design for Supply Chain objectives to meet critical program requirements.

Manufacturing Operations partner with our plant teams to drive lowest total cost of acquisition and highest material availability by developing and implementing relevant material replenishment models.

This individual will be responsible for establishing standard processes for material sourcing, cost reduction planning and supplier management. They will take an active role in talent management and development of site procurement teams.
Essential Functions:

+ Lead Sourcing initiatives driving results measured by lower material cost, responsive supplier performance, process and service improvements, risk mitigation and resultant productivity through supply chain. Develop strategic roadmap for critical commodities.

+ Improve Working capital through payment term extensions and effective material replenishment strategies such as Vendor Managed Inventory, Consignment.

+ Gathers commodity and subject matter expertise/insights and market intelligence to ensure sourcing solutions meet business needs

+ Performs complex data analysis and build financial models

+ Assess supplier capabilities and identify new suppliers

+ Establishes commercial contract terms and conditions and coordinates with legal to execute contracts with suppliers that optimize the partnership

+ Review suppliers against contracted obligations/service levels and business expectations, feedback them on performance, seek continuous improvement and develop new capabilities per business needs.

+ Leads supply chain management and procurement activities for new product launches and collaborate with new product/project teams to develop sourcing strategies and implement the same along with developing sourcing risk plans.

Qualifications

Pursuing Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain Management preferred)

+ Experience in electronics, contract manufacturing, Avionics industry

+ Knowledge in the areas of Circuit card assemblies, electro mechanical, electronics, displays and electronic components.

+ Understanding of global economics and ability to use market data/analytics to predict trends
