POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for providing clerical support for commercial lending activities. Types, prepares, and files a variety of documents. Opens mail and performs miscellaneous clerical functions as needed. Provides high quality and professional service to customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of assigned clerical, and account processing functions.
Makes transfers for businesses.
Processes loan payments and tracks insurance on business loans.
Monitors disbursements on construction and development loans.
Types a variety of documents, records, and reports.
Maintains, organizes, and updates business files.
Makes address changes as needed.
Opens, sorts, and distributes mail.
Monitors needs of New Accounts and provides back up as necessary
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective business relations with customers.
Assists with questions and problems courteously and promptly.
Obtains and conveys information as needed.
Maintains the Bank's professional reputation.
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with Bank personnel and with management.
Assists, supports, and replaces Commercial Lending personnel as needed.
Obtains and conveys information as needed.
Attends and participates in meetings as required.
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.
Assists in preparing loan documents.
Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.
Completes special projects as assigned.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
Document preparation is accurate, neat, and timely.
Files are current and well organized.
Miscellaneous clerical functions are efficiently and effectively completed.
Professional working relations exist with customers.
Assistance is provided as needed.
Questions are answered courteously and promptly.
Good working relations and communications exist with Bank personnel and with management.
Assistance and support are provided as needed.
Management is appropriately informed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Required Knowledge:
Familiarity with business loan programs and service requirements.
Familiarity with general loan documentation helpful.
Experience Required:
Prior experience helpful, particularly in a financial environment.
Skills/Abilities:
Accurate and attentive to detail.
Well organized.
Strong typing abilities.
Ability to assist others.
Able to use computer, adding machine, copy machine, and basic business equipment.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Verifies, compiles, and prepares application information for real estate loans: Reviews residential loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets establishment standards, including type and amount of real estate loan, debt to income, borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment and pulls credit.

Helps customer complete loan application when needed.

Submits approved real estate loans to RELP for processing and closing

Job Description
Job Title: Lending Assistant
Summary: Performs a variety of duties related to the processing of commercial and/or consumer lending, servicing, reporting, and customer service.
This is an onsite assignment at our Alpine Branch.
Wage Type: Hourly Non-exempt
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Records new loans and maintains files, prepares documents and notices, answers customer inquiries and solves routine customer problems.
May interview applicants to obtain initial credit information, do service bureau/direct credit checks and ensure sufficient collateral and begin loan write-up process.
May assist lending officer(s) in activities such as disbursement of funds, loan extensions, interest calculations, billings and preparing spreadsheets.
Communicates and follow up with past due accounts and customer requests to clear exceptions on a scheduled and as needed basis.
Review and process commercial and consumer loan modification requests including deferrals/extensions for approval by the Loan Officer (LO), Chief Lending Officer (CLO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Schedule and coordinate meetings for borrowers to discuss loan matters, review applications, complete closings, and discuss other matters in branch or virtually.
Receive and process TRID Applications, communicate with borrowers, run credit reports, and review relevant documents.
Support consumer loan processing: Work with consumer loan processing team to prepare the CLAD for the initial Loan Estimate, complete credit memo, run OFAC, complete SCRA checks, and pull CAD. Submit the loan for approval and collect required financials, sales contracts, and documentation from the borrower. Submit appraisal bids and title work orders, communicating with appraisers and title work representatives. Close the loan: Build loan, fund loan, and process the wire for funding. Communicate with closer ensure the smooth processing of consumer loans.
Regularly communicate with consumer borrowers to update them on the status and stage of their loan.
Loan Renewals (Consumer and Commercial Loans) - Contact borrows to confirm plans to renew, pay off, or refinance loans on a scheduled and as needed basis. Obtain financials for loan renewals and communicate with the Loan Officer and credit as needed.
Process insurance, recording, and other documents according to procedure.
Carries out responsibilities in a manner consistent with our values and operating principles, in accordance with policy and applicable laws, and with a commitment to commitment to continuous improvement and process excellence.
