QCT Mixed-Signal IP (MSIP) design team is looking for talented analog integrated circuit designers at various levels to help with designing high-performance and low-power mixed-signal IPs (SerDes, DDR, PLL, DAC, ADC, sensors, etc.) in advanced silicon process technologies. These are widely used in Qualcomm's SOCs and RF transceiver products targeted for 5G, AI/ML, compute, and automotive applications. MSIP design team consists of architects, analog/mixed signal and digital designers, protocol and signal processing experts, and algorithm designers, and we are looking for new talents in the area of analog circuit design for our SOCs.
Responsibilities
Work in our MSIP analog design team to develop various mixed-signal IP above including architecture definition, and analog/digital design partitioning and schematic design.
Schematic capture and circuit simulations in the Cadence Virtuoso tool suite.
Work with cross functional teams (i.e. layout and digital teams) on design implementation, verification and IP delivery to SOC customers.
Work with product test teams for post-silicon verification, bringup, debug, and production support.
Required Qualifications for this Role
Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
Demonstrated interest in analog circuit design by course selections and/or work experience.
Experience working with ASIC design tools such as Cadence Virtuoso.
Preferred Qualifications
Several years of industry experience in the area of analog integrated circuit/system design.
Experience as an analog designer of mixed-signal IPs, such as SerDes, DDR, PLL, DAC, ADC, sensors.
Familiar with Matlab and Python and good understanding of architecture, system and integration aspects for mixed-signal.
Good understanding of design for yield and production challenges.
Good understanding of Signals and Systems, Sampled Domain signal processing a plus.

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of experience with analog or mixed-signal integrated circuit design in nanometer planar CMOS or FinFET and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, or related work experience.

PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Significant experience leading the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits, entire active devices, components, sub components and entire subsystems. Writes the semiconductor specification for an ASIC and performs lab verifications. The Position
The Fire ProtectionEngineer for Above Group shall contribute and support Fire Protectionengineering, fire and life safety systems, code compliance, and risk assessment efforts for the firm. The FPE shall be a graduated engineer from an ABET accredited institution who shall directly contribute to the Firm and its success through engineering and design efforts. The ideal candidate will be capable of developing comprehensive fire protection plans and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The FPE is also responsible for contributing to the growth of the team by leading and mentoring them in expanding their capabilities and contributions. The FPE shall execute engineering and design duties as required to ensure quality products.
The FPE shall be an Engineer registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) at a minimum (preference given to FPE licensed in Florida). Additional credentials are encouraged and desired.
The FPE is an Engineer by education and experience:

Perform and direct design of ductwork, piping and equipment selection for plumbing and fire protection systems independently on assigned projects. Complex projects could be under the supervision of a professional engineer. As necessary assist with HVAC Designs.
May supervise or provide project management direction within the mechanical discipline to include the monitoring of project progresses and project budget.
Prepare Revit/BIM modeling of construction drawings of plumbing and fire protection systems from schematic design to construction administration phases including layout, sketches and detail drawings as required. As necessary perform Revit/BIM modeling for HVAC systems.
Edit specifications relating to existing or new projects.
Independently research as need arises and respond to emergent issues.
Specify mechanical equipment such as boilers, chillers, and air handling units.
Review shop drawings for compliance of specifications and contract documents.
Interface effectively with clients and members of the project team, attend Owner, Architect, Construction Administration (OAC) meetings with an understanding and focus on the project budget.
Respond to RFI's and review of change orders in the preparation of construction documents.
Conduct job site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress. Attend and participate in construction meetings. Site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site.
Coordinates work activities on specific projects with several persons with various levels of capability; participates in business development and marketing activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum of 6+ years of related experience required.
Current PE or FPE in the United States required.
LEED accreditation preferred.
Must possess a working knowledge and experience, while still acquiring higher level knowledge.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit, Trane Trace or Trane 3D Plus) required.
The salary range for this position to be filled in the Chicago office is $80,200 to $100,200 annually. This salary range is the range we believe is the anticipated range of possible base compensation at the timing of the posting. + Modify template HMI programs to coincide with project-specific PLC programs.

+ Submit daily project reports and expenses in a timely manner.
+ Assist the Product Support Center help desk to resolve customer issues that cannot be handled locally.
