As a Security Assistant, you will support the FBI Security Program by managing logs, audits, and analytical tasks. Your role will involve researching complex security issues and contributing to personal security assessments.

Responsibilities:
Support the FBI Security Program through administrative and analytical tasks.

Position Overview:
The Administrative Assistant is to serve as general administrative help to Intake, Suitability, and Badging Services Program and is responsible for overseeing and providing day-to-day support services in a wide area of administrative functions thus minimizing executive involvement on daily and routine administrative functions and inquiries. This Ready Reserve position involves a comprehensive hiring process, including interviews with both PSI and the specific Program Manager or Team Lead, along with a background check and drug screen for Protection Strategies, Inc. Key Responsibilities:
Contact Federal employees, contractors, affiliates, and interns to schedule fingerprint enrollment and badge issuances.
Answer telephone inquiries, questions regarding badge office policies, procedures,
Manage office resource mailboxes and correspond with agency sponsors and liaisons, both internal and external, regarding badge status'
Draft and update office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Submit new and departing user request to IT Helpdesk
Receive, log, and ship fingerprint cards to applicants for background investigation
Perform certificate rekey, pin reset, and card update activities
Manage agendas and travel arrangements for staff
Coordinate meetings and appointments, along as taking meeting minutes
Coordinate and assist leadership with onboarding new hires
Maintain office upkeep and coordinate with building maintenance as needed
Schedule and set up conference rooms as needed for trainings and meetings
Perform card custodian functions including ensuring all badges are stored securely
Responsible for checking identity and proofing process with valid government photo IDs
Responsible for destroying deactivated badges and requesting account terminations
Provide training to newly assigned badge office staff
Maintains applicant records, documentation, and files
Maintain the HHS' rules and regulations for identifying inter-agency badges and coordinate with external agency accordingly
Create and maintain spreadsheets
Troubleshoot inquiries, issues and other problems associated with the enrollment and issuance stations
Print and ship new and replacement badges for clients, federal employees, contractors, and liaisons
Reporting system failures and downtime to the appropriate assistance centers, as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
3-5 years of experience working in program assistant and/or administrative capacity
1 year (minimum) experience in data entry
Motivated self-starter
Ability to work well with a team
Ability to sit for long periods of time, standing, walking, crouching and kneeling
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

Position Overview:
This position supports the Industrial Security Unit (ISU) and serves as the liaison between the Contracting Office and the Department on security clearance requirements for classified contracts. The ISU is responsible for facilitating the contract vendor's Facility Security
Clearance
and
Personnel Security
Clearances through submission of the DoD Contract Security Classification Specification, DD Form 254. The ISU reports to the DHS Federal Protective Services (FPS),
Personnel Security
Division (PSD).
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, formulate, and develop DHS-wide policies, standards, and procedures for the implementation and management of the DHS Industrial Security Program.
Advise top-level DHS officials and subject matter managers on developments and advances in personnel, contract, and industrial security programs.
Conduct security surveys, inspections, and compliance reviews in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, Presidential Directives, Executive Orders, interagency directives, and DHS and component policies.
Developing, implementing, and overseeing policies for the management and administration of programs and personnel governed by Executive Order 12829, National Industrial Security Program (NISP).
Conducting preliminary inquiries of actual or suspected compromise of classified information and ensures reporting requirements are met.
Knowledge of industrial security, personnel security, and systems security policies and issues sufficient to formulate interrelated and common DHS-wide security policies and procedures.
Knowledge of DHS and component organizational structures, applicable security policies, and lines of functional responsibility to effectively coordinate with proper officials on a broad range of tasks.
Producing finished documentation such as reports, special studies, policy procedure development.
Ability to conduct analyses, evaluations, and internal inspection of security programs, and present oral and written products
Write and maintain Industrial Security SOP.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
Relevant experience shall include experience within one or more of the standard securities and/or intelligence fields e.g., technical, physical, information, industrial, personnel and operational security.
Subject matter expertise and hands-on experience in one or more security and/or intelligence discipline and experience implementing complex government security and/or intelligence programs and policies is preferable.
Must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Shall demonstrate a proficiency in various types of information technology applications, such as Microsoft Office, including MS Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with ISMS, eQIP, CVS, and/or DISS is preferred, but not required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.

Position Overview:
Personnel Security Specialist reviews investigation request documentation for accuracy and completeness and processes e-QIP packets for federal and contractor employees. They initiate the paperwork for background investigations, review the information submitted by the applicants, corresponds with the applicants for clarifying information, responsible for data entry requirements associated with each record, making case files, forwarding cases for processing, and submits the e-QIP packet to be reviewed and forwarded to OPM.
Key Responsibilities:
Review applicant completed eQIP forms and other related and necessary forms for the initiation of background investigations.
Assist applicants with corrective action concerning completion/submission of personnel security documents.
Assist customers with eQIP submissions, perform applicable entries into the Office of Security and Strategic Information (OSSI) personnel security database, schedule fingerprint appointments if required, other clerical duties as required.
Track personnel security documents to ensure accurate processing.
Mail documents and perform basic customer service administrative functions when applicable.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or equivalent experience
Two (2) years of experience processing and reviewing eQIP applications and providing customer service in a government personnel security office environment.
Experience with initiating SF-85s and/or SF-86s through eQIP system
Knowledgeable of OPM processing and requirements for submission of eQIP
Proficient in Microsoft applications
