About the Role:
We currently have an opportunity for a Sr. Relaytechnician. This role will be based within the Delaware and greater Philadelphia area. This position supports the regulated electric transmission business of LS Power. Specifically, this position will be responsible for protectiverelaying and SCADA/communication systems at newly constructed transmission facilities. The job scope involves protectiverelays, SCADA and communication gear, metering equipment and high-voltage equipment including GIS switchgear, SF6 circuit breakers, and power transformers and disconnect switches. The successful candidate will be an experienced RelayTechnician with the requisite training and vocational experience to perform the job requirements with the highest regard to safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities
What you will do:
Read and understand engineering schematics and technical literature pertaining to electrical transmission protection systems and associated communication equipment
Support the preventative maintenance program for transmission protectiverelay systems
Maintain accurate records including test results, drawings and maintenance documentation on associated equipment and devices
Assist with event investigations by retrieving relay fault records and operational data from field devices
Maintain and update relay settings and SCADA system configurations as directed by engineering
Support construction projects through testing and commissioning of substation equipment, including field apparatuses, protectiverelay systems, SCADA and communication systems
Provide first responder support as needed to investigate relay operations and system disturbances
Routinely interface with vendors, interconnected utilities, contractors and consultants in the performance of daily responsibilities
Develop customized test plans for relays and SCADA equipment using specialized software
Utilize various test sets to perform functional system tests on relays and other intelligent electronic devices
Capable of performing and directing substation apparatus maintenance and commissioning procedures for breakers, power transformers, instrument transformers, disconnect switches and other equipment and components
Requires frequent local travel, some overnight trips and subject to 24 hour, on-call duty assignments
Qualifications

Have 7+ years of relevant experience with an electrical utility or testing services contractor
Possess superior knowledge and understanding of maintenance work performed by contract personnel involving substation equipment including transformers, circuit breakers and switches
Are an expert understanding of protectiverelaying, communication, metering, and SCADA systems
Are familiar with specialized technical software and test equipment utilized for substation maintenance activities
Hold knowledge and understanding of applicable NERC compliance standards and electric utility business operating practices a plus

Are a confident communicator, organized, critical thinker

You will routinely work in an energized, substation environment but will also have a workspace in a corporate office with a warehouse/relay lab/workshop and remote inventory material yard. The Company will supply a truck, tools and all required PPE. You may have occasional visits to other regional operating facilities and field sites for training purposes. Working hours are generally normal but circumstances or deadlines may dictate extended hours to complete required tasks. Operates computer equipment, uses phone daily, and frequently travels regionally in accordance with operational demands.

The Commissioning Engineer role is a technically-focused position within the R&D team. This individual will be integral to the successful implementation and support of line integration products. What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed
As an E&I Technician, you'll be the expert responsible for the mill's electrical and instrumentation systems. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
System Diagnostics: Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems on a wide range of process equipment.
Electrical Expertise: Repairing and wiring 120V, 460V AC, and 24V DC circuits. Installing and maintaining distribution systems, transformers, and electrical controls like coils, contactors, and relays.
Advanced Equipment: Servicing and maintaining a variety of critical equipment, including PLCs, distributed control systems, overhead cranes, motors, motor control centers, and guide systems.
Reading and Interpretation: Skillfully interpreting P&ID, hydraulic, pneumatic, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installations and repairs.
Precision Work: Using a multimeter and Megohm meter to diagnose issues, running and bending conduit, and wiring motors according to applicable codes.
Safe Operations: Safely racking in and out high-voltage breakers (460V, 4160V, and 12.47kV).
Mobile Equipment: Operating motorized equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, hoists, and cranes to support maintenance tasks.

Mental & Physical Abilities: You must have the ability to read and understand technical manuals, perform basic to intermediate math, and communicate clearly. The role is physically demanding, requiring manual dexterity, lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and the ability to operate motorized equipment safely.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
