    General Summary: Provide screening, assessment, and emergency services as well as counseling and referral to clients/students. Develop initial recommendations including program disposition and referral for all adults entering Thrive Behavioral Health. Complete necessary paperwork for referrals to Thrive programs as required. Communicate with other Thrive programs about assessed clients. Develop a working knowledge of Thrive programs and services and corresponding eligibility requirements to facilitate efficient and effective disposition of clients based upon assessed need. Provide and obtain secure appropriate follow up care for all assessed clients. Communicate with external referral sources to coordinate care for assessed clients. Provide education to external agencies regarding the programs and services available at Thrive Behavioral Health. Work collaboratively with Thrive staff and clinicians to facilitate access to care and services. Provide debriefings at Thrive Behavioral Health and in community as needed. Provide consultation and education to community agencies (police, hospital, emergency room, schools and other social service and behavioral health agencies). Complete all required documentation in accordance with Thrive policies. Collect data required for grants as needed. Maintain client confidentiality. Education, Experience and Competencies: Master's Degree in the human service field of social work or counseling required; independent licensure preferred. Qualified Mental Health Professional Certificate required (QMHP). At least one year experience in an assessment or screening unit, or emergency services preferred. Minimum (2) years experience working with clients who have behavioral health and substance use issues. Certifications, Licenses Requirements: Valid driver's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards required, or the ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job. General Summary: Provide assessment evaluations, outpatient short-term psychotherapy and linkage with community service agencies. Essential Responsibilities: Provide mental health and substance abuse screening, assessment, orientation, treatment and follow-up services primarily within the agency, but also in other settings as needed. Provide individual, couples, family or group counseling within the scope of one's competencies. Provide crisis intervention. Provide referral consultation and education to the community regarding issues of chemical dependency and mental health. Provide chemical dependency and mental health consultation, education and training to agency personnel. Develop and implement treatment plans and document services consistent with Thrive standards and/or insurance requirements. Collaborate with other providers, agencies and individuals in the client's network of care. Provide relapse prevention, discharge planning, follow-up and aftercare. Provide education, training, and modeling in basic daily living skills, social or parenting skills. Teach clients effective techniques for managing their medication as prescribed. Coordinate services within Thrive as needed. Assist clients in developing and strengthening their support network to accomplish goals and objectives. Produce, complete, and maintain billing forms, logs, data collection forms, clinical documentation and client records in accordance with Thrive standards and state and federal regulations. Assist clients in maintaining appropriate medical coverage at all times. Collaborate with Case Manager in doing so when appropriate. Schedule and maintain client hours sufficient to achieve individual / program billing targets. Additional Responsibilities: Attend all agency/department required training and meetings within the prescribed period. Attend all Safety Training programs and be able to describe his/her responsibilities related to the general safety, department safety, and specific job-related hazards and responsibilities. Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all clients, families, visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible and courteous environment. The BMR program is a preventative, youth diversion initiative aimed at providing support to youth ages 10-14 and their families. The primary focus is on enhancing family functioning, meeting basic needs, and preventing out-of-home placements. The program emphasizes a flexible, family-centered approach, utilizing a home and community-based delivery model. Essential Functions: Provide supervision and support to bachelor's level behavioral assistants, guiding them in the delivery of case management, basic needs support, recovery planning, informal counseling, therapeutic recreation, skills-based groups, and social skills development. Oversee the development and implementation of individualized recovery plans, ensuring they are aligned with evidence-based practices and client-centered goals. Conduct comprehensive, strengths-based biopsychosocial assessments as needed, including trauma screening and evaluation of social determinants of health. Oversee the implementation of recovery plans that incorporate Family Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Youth Development frameworks. Provide direct clinical services, including individual, family, and group counseling as needed to support the bachelor-level BMR behavioral assistants using evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Oversee the facilitation of therapeutic recreational activities and skill-building groups aimed at enhancing protective factors and promoting positive youth development. Coordinate with community resources, schools, and other service providers to ensure a holistic approach to care and continuity of services. Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the TFS Electronic Health Record system, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
