Position Purpose
Holy Cross Health is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to join our Medical Imaging team. In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic sonographic images while ensuring professional, patient-centered care in alignment with our mission. You will collaborate closely with Radiologists and other team members to support accurate diagnoses and positive patient outcomes.
What You Will Do
Perform high-quality sonograms and assist Radiologists in select procedures
Apply precise scanning techniques and maintain proper technical settings
Ensure proper care and safety of patients throughout imaging procedures
Monitor equipment functionality and adhere to sterile technique standards
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to infection control protocols
Identify patient care needs and use appropriate equipment and interventions for populations including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
Maintain effective working relationships and support Holy Cross Healths mission, philosophy, and policies
Minimum Qualifications
ARDMS Certification Required
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasonography Program
CPR Certification (American Heart Association)
Minimum 1 year of experience in ultrasonography preferred (including OB/GYN, abdominal, small parts, Doppler; vascular experience a plus)
Strong communication skills; ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English

Provide health care services, applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment while performing ultrasonic imaging and related procedures for OB/GYN, with general US exposure if desired. Demonstrates anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner and/or Maternal Fetal Medicine Perinatologist. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Responsibilities:
Performs diagnostic procedures; scans including but not limited to Detailed Anatomy, Multiples, Twin to Twin checks, and fetal dopplers.
Corroborates patient's clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner.
Prepares patient for procedures; provides instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
Selects and operates ultrasound equipment, and associated devices to achieve desired results.
Positions patient and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort.
Immobilizes patients as required for appropriate examination.
Determines ultrasonic frequencies and appropriate transducers for the anatomic area of interest.
Evaluates images for technical quality, assuring proper identification is recorded.

Qualifications:

MFM experience preferred.

10. Inspects, cleans, and prepares exam rooms after each patient to ensure the efficiency of patient flow within the area. Follows infection prevention practices and completes any logs or documentation as required. Participates in Environment of Care (EOC) rounds and inspection readiness activities.
11. Actively participates in training of sonography students on clinical rotation in department.
12. Maintains positive working relationships using Parkland Colleague Behavior guidelines. Serves as a resource person for physicians, other sonographers, students, and patients to ensure an efficient flow of patient information and care.
13. Assists in the department orientation and on boarding of new sonographers, APP staff, support staff and/or resident physicians.

9. Maintains and performs basic troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment and informs supervisor and submits tickets as needed to ensure equipment is operable and safe. Ensures broken equipment is taken out of service.
10. Inspects, cleans, and prepares exam rooms after each patient to ensure the efficiency of patient flow within the area. MountainView Medical Imaging is seeking a patient-focused individual to join our team as an Ultrasound Technologist.
Summary: MountainView Medical Imaging is looking for an Ultrasound Technologist who will deliver quality patient care during Ultrasound procedures by exhibiting patience and a thorough understanding of the examination.
Desired Professional Skills and Experience
The Ultrasound Tech will perform ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease or injury. Performs ultrasound procedures as prescribed by a physician. Follows established techniques and methods in operating equipment and processing images. Ensures technical quality of images and exercises judgment in processing assigned workload. Assists the radiologist in performing image-guided diagnostic and invasive procedures (e.g., paracentesis, thoracentesis, and hysterosonograms).
Required skills and Experience
* Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) recognized by the American Heart Association
* Current registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) (or must be registry-eligible and obtain registry within one year of employment in technologist position)

We are searching for an Ultrasound Generalist RVT-- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will prepare, administer, and document activities related to mediations in accordance with state regulations and institution policy. The Generalist is a liaison between patients, radiologist, and other members of the support team. As members of the health care team, they must participate in quality improvement processes and continually assess their professional performance. They are responsible for patient care, appropriate documentation, quality control, and quality improvement, and they provide training, education and mentoring to students, technologists, nursing, residents, fellows, staff, and others.

Qualifications:
• Graduate of a formal diagnostic Radiology program required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• RVT certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography acquired within 18 months of hire required
• RDMS-AB, RDMS-OB or RDMS-PS certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography required
• Registered Vascular Specialist by Cardiovascular Credentialing International may substitute for the RVT certification
Responsibilities:
• Confirms patient identity with approved identifiers
• Provides information to patients, health care providers, students and the public concerning the role and responsibilities of individuals in the profession
• Performs routine, STAT, urgent, and on-call procedures while accurately demonstrating understanding of anatomy and pathology through proper imaging techniques
• Uses sterile technique when assisting with biopsies, drainages, and any invasive procedures
• Assesses factors that may contraindicate the procedure, such as, medication contraindications, patient risk for reaction to medications, patient history, laboratory results, insufficient patient preparation or artifacts
• Responsible for precise, complete, and accurate data entry and image management in appropriate technology infrastructure: EPIC, PACS, etc.
• Applies patient safety principles during all aspects of Ultrasound procedures, including assisting and transporting patients
• Responsible for quality control activities on the equipment and collaborates with appropriate parties to resolve image quality issues
