**Core Competencies:**

**Clinical & Director Responsibilities:**
0.5 FTE dedicated to Medical Director duties, and 0.5 FTE dedicated towards inpatient clinical duties
+ Supervise and evaluate the delivery of medical services within the behavioral health line, ensuring high standards of care.
+ Support the efficient operation of the facility, following any department-specific directives.
+ Offer guidance on the development, management, and financial planning of the department to PMAC and Community Based Programs Administration.
+ Ensure operations adhere to Medical Staff Bylaws, Providence directives, Joint Commission standards, relevant professional societies' standards, and all pertinent laws and regulations, while upholding the mission and values of Providence Health & Services and the Roman Catholic moral tradition.

The Alaska Family Medicine Residency/Providence Family Medicine Center is hiring a licensed Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a Behavioral Health Faculty for the Addiction Medicine Training Program. This role is funded by a 5-year HRSA grant aimed to increase the number of Family Medicine physicians competent in addressing the behavioral health needs of Alaska's underserved populations. The position includes curriculum development and delivery, clinical training and supervision and behavioral health service provision. You will work closely with the Program Director, Program Manager, and Behavioral Health Faculty to enhance and expand resident training and experience in the areas of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, SUD/addiction medicine treatment, and management of suicidality. You will work with Family Medicine residents in multiple clinical settings to provide real-time feedback and resident evaluations. This role will deliver integrated behavioral health services including behavioral health consultation and focused psychotherapy to PFMC patients within our Family Medicine clinic which delivers outpatient services across the lifespan.

Providence Alaska Medical Center is seeking a full or part time Fellowship trained, Board Certified or Board Eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician to join a well-established practice located in beautiful Anchorage, Alaska. Our practice is primarily outpatient with daytime coverage for hospital consultation and consultative coverage at nights and on weekends. Weekend call coverage is shared between several MFM specialists in Anchorage. Our full-service, referral-based practice offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient services. We provide prenatal diagnostic procedures including ultrasounds, amniocentesis, CVS, fetal echocardiography, and intrauterine procedures. The schedule is a typical workweek, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm with 32 patient facing hours per week. The selected candidate will join one MFM physician with over 20+ years of experience, one genetic counselor, two OB-certified Sonographers, one RN Case manager, CMA, and support staff. The MFM clinic is AIUM-certified in all OB exams and Fetal Echocardiography utilizing GE E10's with Viewpoint. The practice utilizes Epic EMR. Support includes the only Level III NICU in the state that provides 24-hour comprehensive specialty care for premature and high-risk infants delivered at PAMC or transported to PAMC NICU, as well as the sickest of full-term infants. On-site Pediatric Surgery and Cardiology, 24-hour Anesthesia, and Radiology. Providence Medical Group is seeking a FTE 0.8 Psychiatrist to join its team of behavioral health professionals at the Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. This position will play a prominent roll in this facility's crisis recovery center, where 400 to 450 patients are helped each year. You will also have the unique opportunity to build and support the crisis stabilization program. Enjoy excellent and balanced schedule while serving in the picturesque mountain city of Anchorage.

Providence Medical Group is seeking a Psychiatrist with substance use experience to join its new Crisis Stabilization Center opening in January 2026 in Anchorage, Alaska. This new facility will provide additional services to adult patients who are experiencing mental health and/or substance use problems by utilizing two distinct programs. The first is an outpatient program providing immediate intervention in a trauma informed setting. This program is designed to divert people from hospital emergency departments to avoid unnecessary high levels of care and offers 23-hour crisis stabilization. The second program is for patients who are unable to stabilize within this 23-hour time frame and offers up to 7-days of inpatient care. As a Psychiatrist for the center, you will not only have the opportunity to be on the forefront of a brand-new behavioral health initiative, but your work will have a lasting impact on the overall health and well-being of this entire community.

Faculty Family Medicine Physician

Seeking a board-certified Family Medicine physician for a faculty position in a large, innovative family medicine residency program. The Alaska Family Medicine Residency (AKFMR) offers a rigorous curriculum to prepare residents for full-scope Family Medicine, with an emphasis on rural and underserved communities. Most training occurs in Anchorage, Alaska caring for a diverse, underserved urban population. The patients in clinic speak>90 languages. All residents spend time in remote rural Alaska, working in small communities off the road system. The program's graduates currently work in all settings including outpatient, ER, OB, inpatient adult & peds, ICU, and fellowships.
As an integral member of the AKFMR faculty, you will be in an advisory role to residents while also taking part in clinical duties such as precepting residents in clinic, direct patient care, outpatient prenatal and pediatric care supervision, inpatient care and more. Join a collegial and supportive faculty team and work alongside motivated residents in the beautiful and welcoming city of Anchorage, located in the heart of Alaska's scenic grandeur.
**Position Details:**
* Full-time (preferred) Faculty position working directly with Family Medicine residents
* Mix of faculty responsibilities: outpatient clinical work, optional inpatient care and optional inpatient OB (including operative OB if interested)
* Unique opportunities to get involved with Summer and Winter Wilderness Medicine, Transcultural & Community Medicine, the Alaska Addiction Medicine Fellowship and the Alaska Psychology Internship Consortium
* 5-year awarded HRSA Grant - Primary Care Training and Enhancement - Residency Training in Mental and Behavioral Health
* Strong background or interest in academic Primary Care preferred
* Experience/interest in conducting and publishing research - a plus
* AKFMR has Osteopathic Recognition; D.O. candidates with an interest in OMT - a plus
* Prior teaching/precepting experience preferred; recent graduates will also be considered
* Full-spectrum Family Medicine preferred, however not required
