Psychotherapist job at Provider Solutions & Development
Providence St. Elias Specialty Hospital is seeking a full-time Psychologist to join its dedicated and compassionate inpatient medical rehabilitation team of providers. As a Psychologist at Providence, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and integrated environment as Alaskans recover from strokes, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries and other complex medical conditions and potentially life changing traumas in our inpatient rehabilitation facility. Collaborate with multiple care team members including physical medicine and rehabilitation, hospitalists, therapists (physical, occupations and speech), rehabilitation nurses, social workers and case managers, and other specialized disciplines. Must have at least 2 to 5 years of experience
Candidates with backgrounds and expertise in rehabilitation psychology and/or neuropsychology preferred, but not required.

Providence St. Elias Specialty Hospital is the only Critical Illness Recovery and Inpatient Rehabilitation hospital in Alaska. Located near several trauma centers, St. Elias features a 35 bed CARF accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility, ranked by US News as the highest rated rehab program in the state. Under the guidance of rehabilitation physicians, using intensive therapeutic interventions of physical and occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology, St. Elias helps patients achieve their highest level of recovery goals.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a closely related field is required for this position.

Preferred Experience: Two years' experience in the direct treatment of persons with mental illness or emotional disturbance that was gained under the supervision of a mental health professional preferred. One year's full-time experience in the treatment of children under the supervision of a children's mental health specialist preferred.

This position is on-site in Astoria, Oregon. We're interested in all qualified candidates, including those who reside outside the area who are open to relocating. Relocation allowance is available.

Salary $102,500.00
$7,000.00 Hiring Bonus Structure:
At Hire: $2,100.00

What You'll Do:
Assesses initial client treatment needs and formulates appropriate diagnosis. Provides treatment to patients with more complex or multiple diagnoses.
Performs intake session with clients and completes Integrated Biopsychosocial Assessment.
Formulates a mental health diagnosis using the current version of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders V (DSM V) standards.
Develops treatment plan incorporating standard practice guidelines for each diagnosis.
Provides therapy, supportive therapeutic counseling, and education to assigned individuals.
Applies therapeutic treatment models such as behavior modification, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and others as appropriate.
Measures change and adjusts treatment as needed, using appropriate screening tools.
Completes encounters and associated documentation according to YVFWC requirements and coding and billing rules.
Enters all documentation into the electronic health record (EHR).
Responds to crisis situations, assessing urgency of patient's needs, provides care, and helps obtains appropriate acute care services as appropriate.
Works with individual to transition and maintain a presence in a community setting after psychiatric hospitalizations.
Assists patient and family in obtaining additional services and other resources as needed. Documents all referrals made to other resources.
Presents mental health findings and recommendations in verbal or written format as part of shared case review or upon request for peer or clinical review.
Performs clinical and administrative responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission (TJC), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), and YVFWC requirements.
Qualifications:
