Mandatory training will be completed at our office in Little Rock, AR during the first week of employment. Work from home workspace requirements: * Must have a private dedicated workspace * High-speed internet connection (at least 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload speed) * Telephone (mobile or landline) * Computing equipment will be provided **Job Summary/Scope** The Donation Support Coordinator (DSC) is primarily responsible for answering in-coming and making outgoing calls which communicate and promote organ, tissue and eye donation. This position is dedicated to achieving the primary objectives of (1) receiving and documenting referrals from all referring organizations (2) properly assessing for potential organ/tissue donation and communicating those referrals to the appropriate person or agency (3) perform authorization conversations and complete the associated paperwork for such anatomical gifts (4) screen potential tissue and eye donors with approved agencies. The primary duties of the Donation Support Coordinator are to facilitate donation through the acts of taking referrals via the telephone and computer referrals (triage and secondary screening). They must properly assess and communicate these to the appropriate person. The DSC will have authorization conversations with Authorizing Person or the Legally Appropriate Person, conduct donor assessment interviews and screen with the appropriate tissue and eye bank. The DSC will also enter data into ARORA's or other appropriate donor and referral database. **Essential Functions** - Shares information with potential donor families in a sensitive manner over a recorded telephone line to help them make an informed decision about donation. - Answers in-coming calls for donor referrals in a prompt and professional manner. - Responds appropriately to potential donor referrals by phone and conducts a comprehensive initial assessment of the medical status of potential donors according to ARORA, FDA, and AATB guidelines. - Performs initial assessment of potential donor and determines possible suitability for tissue donation and communicates appropriate information to the tissue processors or other agency. - Completes all forms associated with an authorized donor following the SOPs associated with the forms. - Completes appropriate data entry and documentation in a timely and thorough manner and maintains proper documentation of activities. **Secondary Functions** - Functions as an expert resource to potential donor families on the subject of tissue donation. - Facilitates ongoing communication with the health care team, funeral home, family, or other agency during the evaluation of referred potential tissue donors. - Assists with training of new Resource Center staff as needed. - Completes training documentation as required. **Organizational Expectations** - Maintains regular and punctual attendance at assigned work location. - Accurately document timekeeping records. - Completes appropriate ARORA forms in a timely and thorough manner and maintains proper documentation activities - Exhibits and models ARORA's conduct standards, mission, and organizational clarity (core purpose, core values, business definition, and strategic anchors) in all job functions and interactions both internal and external to ARORA. - Attendance at staff meetings, training programs, and/or in-services meetings, as required. - Demonstrates professional appearance, behavior and standards in all business dealings and interactions. - Demonstrates professional conduct and behavior reflective of ARORA's respect, honor, admiration and reverence for the donor and donor family. - Fosters effective relationships with client representatives. - With the approval of division Director, serves on national committees. - Performs other duties as assigned. **Potential Risk Factors:** - Risk Exposure to Blood/Body Fluids: While performing some essential functions of your position, you may be exposed to blood or body fluids. Maintain documentation of shift anomalies such as call outs, early dismissals and service interruptions. Ensure all scheduled crisis workers are maintaining the appropriate status in Five9 to maximize answer rate. Review call documentation in iCarol and Virginia Crisis Connect for quality assurance. Facilitate live verbal conversations alternatively to chatting on Teams to increase connection, empathy and accountability. Collaborate with Supervisors across services to ensure follow-up contacts are assigned and completed in a timely manner. Provide support to Crisis Workers on difficult calls, especially those involving emergency intervention. SUPERVISION OF CRISIS WORKERS: Attend weekly staff meetings to ensure critical updates are delivered to crisis workers. Maintain biweekly or monthly supervision of all assigned direct reports. Ensure crisis workers attend process groups at least once monthly. Ensure appropriate documentation of identified issues with the workforce is maintained and communicated to appropriate leadership. Provide guidance and coaching related to workforce/personnel issues, redirection to P&P manual, and ensure consistency of procedural enforcement is equitable across shifts. Provide direction to crisis workers on policies related to call outs and utilizing Workforce Management. Review a minimum of two conversations per month per direct report and document using the Vibrant call review forms. Supervisors are required to provide a minimum of 5 hours of direct hotline service to maintain skill development in crisis counseling and have current crisis work experience to effectively supervise. PRIMARY DUTIES: * Handle contacts by engaging our core philosophies to provide a crisis intervention, safety and risk assessment, information and referrals, and intake screening of callers seeking Mobile Crisis Response and other community services. * Accept transfers from 911 to support callers who are not at imminent risk or in physical danger. * Respond to all offered calls via the Five9 or equivalent platform. * Adhere to 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline Standards, HopeLink Behavioral Health Policies and Procedures, and appropriate accrediting bodies best practices when providing services. * Ensure the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline Suicide Safety Policy is adhered to utilizing active engagement, asking about suicide directly, and accurately assess the severity of the situation, engaging emergency intervention when criteria for imminent risk is met. * Engage in Suicide Safety and Risk Assessment by ensuring the immediate safety of the caller, engaging in evaluation of access to lethal means, and utilizing safety planning skills to ensure individuals have a plan post call. * Offer and perform follow-up contacts to any individual who has experienced suicide thoughts in the past 24 hours. * Provide safety and security for callers by assuring them of their confidentiality and privacy and ensuring that any information shared by the client is kept confidential. * Accurately reflect crisis contact interactions in corresponding contact reports throughout and at the end of each contact. * Engage in a supportive and collaborative work environment, to maintain open communication with supervisors, clinical and administrative support staff. * Support the overall operations of HopeLink's Crisis Services by performing additional tasks and duties as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Carries a cell phone/pager and provides immediate telephonic response to calls from consumers, hospitals, DAYMARK Service Sites, professional healthcare offices, magistrate offices, jails and answering services (i.e., within 15 minutes of receiving calls). Gathers information from calls received and responds appropriately. Provides on-site assessment and evaluative services to consumers when requested from hospitals, jails, LME or other agencies as well as direct requests from consumers. Face to face responses must occur within 2 hours of request for an emergent assessment, and within 48 hours for an urgent assessment. Provides face-to-face assessment as required using necessary clinical skills while meeting all regulatory requirements to ensure reimbursement for services. Direct service care may also involve consultation with hospital staff, law enforcement, family members or support network as deemed necessary or clinically appropriate. Provides indirect services (e.g., case management and supportive services) to place a patient into a secure inpatient setting and/or arranges for discharge from the emergency room and/or DAYMARK Service Site to a lower level of care. Provide Mobile Crisis management follow up as needed to consumers who have received initial MCM services and require follow up to ensure they do not return to a state of crisis and are able to access appropriate non-crisis services. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor Consults with other local providers and answering services by telephone and occasionally takes out involuntary petition at the local magistrates office when necessary. Units Billed Minimum Requirement: There are 15 units per week of productivity standard to meet. The clinician is expected to collect the necessary information needed for reimbursement for the assessments that are done by the clinician. The clinician is also expected to turn in appropriate paper work so that assessments, intakes, evaluations, screenings, assertive outreach and case support may be billed when appropriate. Supervisory Responsibilities: None unless supervising a student and/or training a co-worker. Education and/or Experience: Must be able to demonstrate 1 year of experience providing crisis care in assertive outreach, assertive community treatment, emergency departments, inpatient units, or other services providing comprehensive emergency/crisis services. Doctorate degree in Psychology, MSW in Social Work or Registered Nurse from an accredited college or university and fully licensed in their perspective field with one or more years of experience in emergency services. Applicants with master's degrees who are provisionally licensed or licensed eligible as clinical social workers, professional counselors, substance abuse counselors and marriage and family counselors will be given consideration for employment. LCSW and LCAS staff is expected to complete first evaluation training and provide first evaluations in the community. Psychologist staff is expected to provide first evaluations in the community.
