What you can expect: The Corporate & Project Workouts ("CPW") team of PGIM Private Capital is seeking an Analyst for its three-year analyst program. The position is located in our Newark, NJ office. The Analyst will be part of a dedicated restructuring team managing over $1.0bn in assets that are experiencing financial distress. As part of CPW, you'll work directly with borrowers, lenders, and external advisors to execute complex restructurings-both out-of-court and in-court (e.g., Chapter 11), and support companies as they work through ongoing challenges. The team also underwrites protective investments, opportunistically acquires distressed securities in the secondary market, and advises deal teams on amendments and covenant waivers. In CPW, no two deals are alike. You will gain exposure to a diverse set of companies, sectors, and unique / complex situations, and your analysis will help to drive important investment decisions. What you will do: Investment Analysis & Execution * Conduct detailed financial modeling, scenario analysis, and valuation * Prepare investment committee materials including screening memos and full investment memoranda. * Support due diligence efforts including coordination with legal, tax, consultants, and third-party advisors. * Participate in structuring and negotiating transaction terms and documentation. Portfolio Management * Monitor financial and operational performance of portfolio companies. * Assist in the development and execution of turnaround plans and strategic initiatives. * Prepare periodic valuation analyses and reporting for internal and external stakeholders. Research & Strategy * Perform industry and company research to support investment theses. * Track macroeconomic trends and sector-specific developments. Stakeholder Engagement * Interface with management teams, lenders, legal counsel, and advisors. * Collaborate with internal teams including legal, tax, and fund operations. What you will bring: * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field * 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, private credit, restructuring advisory, asset management, or consulting. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (modeling), PowerPoint, and Word. * Strong financial analysis capabilities, including proficiency in interpreting financial statements, evaluating capital structures, and an understanding of common valuation methodologies. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information. Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious. * Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet tight deadlines. * Participation in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program is a plus Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The annual base salary range for this role is from $80,000-$90,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
