What you will do
The Real Estate Fund Accounting Manager, will be a member of the Fund Operations team that services and supports PGIM Real Estate in the accounting and reporting of real estate investments acquired within PGIM Real Estate's domestic portfolios. The Manager will be primarily accountable for the accurate and timely accounting and reporting for their assigned portfolios. This position will be a key point of contact for all business and other functional teams as it relates to their assigned portfolios.

Oversight of the third-party fund administrator
Ensuring adequate oversight controls are in place and working properly
Providing proper instructions and direction as needed
Managing a calendar of deliverables including changes and up/downstream impacts
Tracking Key Performance Indicators to gauge performance
Balancing expectations/relationships between the business and fund administrator
Ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of:
quarterly and annual financial statements;
monthly, quarterly, annual and multi-year performance returns
monthly, quarterly data submission to various industry organizations and consultants;
client deliverables (client/consultant questionnaires and ahoc request);
portfolio analytics deliverables (leasing and other real estate metrics);
investor level reporting (client traces, exhibits, unit value calculations)
Supporting the AssetManagers in on-going operational matters;
Interacting with PGIM Real Estate Legal and Transaction staff on the acquisitions and sales of investments;
Interacting with PGIM Real Estate Policy group in implementing new accounting policies and the application of the appropriate accounting treatment in various complicated transactions;
Interacting with PGIM Real Estate Systems on various initiatives as it impacts property/portfolio data;
Overseeing various audits with internal and external auditors;
Contributing to firm wide projects, initiatives, and process improvements as they pertain to assigned portfolios or the overall Fund Operations team.
What you will bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
5-8 years of experience in financial accounting including financial statement preparation and review; experience in the real estate investment company industry strongly preferred
Prior experience in public accounting or CPA strongly preferred
Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles as it relates to fair market value of real estate investment company accounting.
Understanding of data validation and flow as it relates to accounting/operations deliverables and their down streams effect on other reporting systems/teams.
Experience with managing a third-party fund administrator a plus
Knowledge of and experience with REIT structures and taxation
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple processes within tight deadlines while responding to various requests from multiple parties
Commitment to process improvement and always looking to add value
Working knowledge of joint venture waterfalls and income calculations
Experience calculating or reviewing assetmanagement and/or incentive fee calculations
Knowledge of performance return calculations and GIPS a plus
Proficient in Excel
Strong leadership and management skills
Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal, communication and partnering skills

Corporate Finance - Investment Accounting

What you will do
This role is a research position leading the mortgage credit research team within the Securitized Products Research group of PGIM Fixed Income. The successful candidate will work closely with the structured products portfolio managers to formulate mortgage credit related investment strategies and oversee the mortgage credit portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing transaction collateral, assigning internal credit ratings, reviewing transaction documentation packages, developing and maintaining issuer and complementary creditor partnerships, conducting issuer due diligence as necessary, communicating with investment banking teams, working closely with portfolio management, in-house counsel, and other internal colleagues to determine investment suitability and relative attractiveness, presenting to clients and conducting surveillance on existing investments and industry trends.

Undertaking the ongoing monitoring and analysis of existing positions to assess credit risk, credit ratings stability, cash flow volatility, portfolio positioning and trading opportunities
Working closely with the structured products portfolio managers on all aspects of mortgage credit sectors: communicating credit and risk/reward opinions; highlighting changing fundamental viewpoints; helping to establish the strategic direction investing in the sector
Presenting results from transaction-specific and sector-wide analyses to wider internal and external audiences, including portfolio managers and clients
Maintaining views on industry-wide issues that impact originators, broker/dealers, and investors

What you can expect
Will be taking responsibility and ownership of product initiatives working as part of a delivery team, collaborating with others to understand requirements, analyses and refine stories, design solutions, implement them, test them, and support them in production

Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and service requests in a timely fashion
Prepare and implement testing plans, develop unit tests, integration tests, and functional automation, researching and resolving problems identified during testing to ensure high quality results
Will need strong SQL skills to conduct data analysis, including diving into code (Stored Proscs, Java) to understand and extrapolate business logic and document data flows based on data analysis

Overview:
The individual in this role will provide operational support for our Special Situations, Mortgaged Backed Securities (MBS), and Asset Based Finance business. Products supported by this team include Direct Lending, Opportunistic Credit, Distressed Debt/Restructures, Residential Mortgage Home Loans, and MBS. This role will primarily focus on assisting the Deal Teams with multiple operational facets of the deal set-up, settlement, and secondary trading process. There will be a high level of interaction with Portfolio Management, Legal, and other internal parties, as well as counterparties, custodians, and agent banks.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Actively facilitate the deal execution process for privately held assets, including trade capture, wire processing, settlement, and other steps required in coordination with multiple groups including deal team, internal counsel, fund management, data integrity, external parties, etc.
· Investment/trade capture of primary and secondary trading activity in Order Management System
· Primary and Secondary loan, bond, and equity trade settlements
· Wire management to ensure deals fund and wires are processed in a timely manner
· Service loans (rolling contracts) and complete private asset transfers
· Track investor cash
· Work with internal teams to help research and resolve cash and position reconciliation breaks
· Working with Custodian Banks and Servicers to rectify breaks
· Compile regular and ad-hoc reporting for various areas within the firm
· Assist in strategic initiatives related to technology and process enhancements
Requirements:
· Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline
· 4-7 years of experience in Financial Services
· Experience with Residential Mortgage Loans, Private Credit, Restructures/Special Situations, Bond or Bank Loan Operations
· Experience interpreting Credit Agreements and Purchase Agreements
· Intermediate or Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite
· Detail oriented self-starter
· Ability to work alone and in a team environment, adaptability is key
· Strong, independent problem solving and critical thinking abilities
