Corporate Development
Prudential's Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions Group is responsible for the acquisition and divestiture activities across all of Prudential's businesses, including insurance and asset management, in the United States and abroad. Since its inception in the late 1990's, the group has closed more than 120 transactions with aggregate value in excess of $35 billion. The group is also responsible for sourcing acquisitions as well as various strategic analyses. The group reports directly to Prudential's Chief Financial Officer.
The Position
The position covers all M&A and inforce reinsurance block transactions across all of Prudential's domestic and international entities. The position will be devoted to the actuarial aspects of transactions, including deal modelling, due diligence, and deal management. This is a highly visible role collaborating with team members working across multiple stakeholder groups. The position reports to the VP and Actuary, Head of M&A Actuarial.
The current employee work arrangement for this position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
Deal Management
Independently lead transaction and actuarial due diligence, including reserve adequacy, product and pricing evaluations, determination of appropriate assumptions, reinsurance programs, taxation, evaluation of existing models, actuarial appraisals, etc.
Project management of actuarial workstreams, and coordination with broader deal teams.
Influence and motivate various stakeholders to achieve Prudential's goals while balancing relationships.
Modelling
Provide subject matter expertise on Embedded Value and Actuarial Appraisal reports to cross-functional deal teams and senior leadership.
Ownership of the day-to-day actuarial deal modelling process, which is typically Excel based.
Independent development of valuation methods that feed into actuarial valuations.
Oversee work streams performed by external actuarial modelling consultants.
Engage with internal business unit actuarial, finance, and tax teams to validate modelling and its impacts.
Communication
Work collaboratively & independently with various teams across Prudential and outside of the company.
Communicate key issues to fellow actuaries and other stakeholders.
Lead internal communication materials.
Lead the production of quality work under time pressure.
Occasional travel domestically and internationally.
What you'll need:
Bachelor's Degree required.
Fully qualified actuary with FSA or related designation with 10+ years of experience required.
Candidates with M&A transaction-related experience, reinsurance and or new initiative modelling experience at a consulting firm, insurance company, or investment bank.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage stakeholders with differing goals.
Strong hands-on financial modeling skills with various modelling platforms. Excel skills are key.
Strong quantitative, problem solving and analytical skills under time pressure.
Deep practical knowledge in some combination of the following areas:
US Statutory, US GAAP, Solvency II, IFRS & offshore accounting methods

What you will do
As VP, Operational Risk and Resilience you will be part of the PGIM O&I Risk & Enablement team, where you will provide oversight of Operational risk and Business Resiliency programs for PGIM, domestically and internationally.
In this role you will be responsible for driving initiatives to reduce risk, monitor critical business services, improve resiliency, and adhere to local regulatory expectations. You will ensure that effective recovery plans are in place and in compliance with the firm's overall resiliency strategies for effective continuity of operations in crisis events, to reduce resiliency risk and validate recovery strategies.
In this capacity you will work closely with the Risk and Enablement team leadership to set strategic direction, design, challenge, and implement business continuity plans for functions and people businesses across the PGIM.
This position is based in Newark, NJ. Drive efforts around education, awareness, and adoption of the Business Resiliency Risk program within PGIM by engaging with affiliates in risk awareness, tracking, resilience decisions and planning.

The Opportunity
The VP, Senior Financial Officer (SFO) for Property & Casualty (P&C) leads a team of professionals accountable for providing strategic decision and operational finance support to the line of business or staff agency. In this role, the SFO supervises the direction, control, and coordination for CFO related activities, including financial planning & forecasting, budgeting, Cost Benefit Analysis, operational efficiency, client relationship support and talent management & development.
In addition, the SFO supervises the system of accounting and financial controls including revenue and expense recognition, accounts receivable and accounts payable. What you will do:

Supports the preparation of internal and external material reported to Board of Directors, rating agencies, regulators, and senior management. Responds to third party requests for information, including Regulators and Rating Agencies.
Participates in identifying, measuring, and supervising material financial risks, including facilitating the development, adherence, monitoring, reporting on risk limits and risk limit utilization for the SFO function.
Facilitates and maintains a strong internal control environment within the SFO function, including information systems and preventative and detective controls, to effectively lead material risks and ensures adherence to accounting standards.
Conducts ongoing financial analysis to identify emerging trends-such as cost drivers, operational inefficiencies, or loss patterns and engages with management to develop and operationalize plans to improve financial performance or resources stewardship.

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.

Inclusive Solutions (IS) has an opportunity for a Director of Corporate Social Responsibility- head of Shared Services to join their team. The Director will leverage proven general management skills (including operations, staff, and strategy) to oversee a variety of complimentary functions serving Inclusive Solutions and its stakeholders. Including the ability to develop a qualitative and quantitative content strategy to support Prudential's and IS' narratives and serve as the foundational message arch to design and lead complex projects to amplify the impact of our work. Furthermore, the director will have overall accountability for function operations including enterprise governance requirements, management of grant reporting, finance/budget oversight, and progress metric dashboards to ensure excellence in execution. This position has direct staff responsibility and will report to the Vice President of Business & Societal Impact.
The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
Content Strategy
Provide direction, thought leadership, and plans to evolve and optimize content including optimizing approach/tools to monitor/manage qualitative and quantitative content.
Deliver against defined outcomes, identify issues/barriers to success, points of integration and dependencies across multiple, interconnected initiatives.
Oversee the IS narrative and guide effective usage of content to specific audience including optimizing a strong governance model to provide a balanced approach for content organization and utilization.
Partner across the enterprise to identify strategic partnership opportunities to leverage societal and business outcome messaging and drive the development of programs and solutions with IS enterprise partners and functional leads.
Grant & Corporate Contributions Reporting
Manage the Prudential Foundation's oversight requirements including providing guidance and ongoing assessment of grant due diligence and ensuring grant tracking systems are operational & inter-connected.
Measurement & Content Activities
Create and manage IS Management Dashboard(s) including translating dashboards into stakeholder reporting tools.
Manage significant (i.e.Pru.com) marketing and communication initiatives and engineering process improvement of IS data inbound and outbound requests.
Project & Process Management
Oversee the budget and expenses of IS and serve as primary day-to-day Finance contact.
Design, build, and cascade process and tools for unit operations and serve as point of contact for compliance, facilities and audit.
Serve as Technology Portfolio Liaison and identify process improvements to ensure efficiency including researching and onboarding new systems and tools.

Staff management

What you'll need:
10+ years' combined experience in the following areas: content strategy, planning, reporting, budget analysis, project management, and relationship management.
Strong content creation, compilation, and organization skills including the ability to create fact-based impact narratives.
Experience with working across teams to improve value stream.
Strong internal and external relationship management skills including collaboration and influencing competences.
Experience as a change agent with ability to lead and influence across multiple stakeholder levels.

What we offer you:Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $147,100.00 to $220,700.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
