Corporate Development
Prudential's Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions Group is responsible for the acquisition and divestiture activities across all of Prudential's businesses, including insurance and asset management, in the United States and abroad. Since its inception in the late 1990's, the group has closed more than 120 transactions with aggregate value in excess of $35 billion. The group is also responsible for sourcing acquisitions as well as various strategic analyses. The group reports directly to Prudential's Chief Financial Officer.
The Position
The position covers all M&A and inforce reinsurance block transactions across all of Prudential's domestic and international entities. The position will be devoted to the actuarial aspects of transactions, including deal modelling, due diligence, and deal management. This is a highly visible role collaborating with team members working across multiple stakeholder groups. The position reports to the VP and Actuary, Head of M&A Actuarial.
The current employee work arrangement for this position is hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
Deal Management
Independently lead transaction and actuarial due diligence, including reserve adequacy, product and pricing evaluations, determination of appropriate assumptions, reinsurance programs, taxation, evaluation of existing models, actuarial appraisals, etc.
Project management of actuarial workstreams, and coordination with broader deal teams.
Influence and motivate various stakeholders to achieve Prudential's goals while balancing relationships.
Modelling
Provide subject matter expertise on Embedded Value and Actuarial Appraisal reports to cross-functional deal teams and senior leadership.
Ownership of the day-to-day actuarial deal modelling process, which is typically Excel based.
Independent development of valuation methods that feed into actuarial valuations.
Oversee work streams performed by external actuarial modelling consultants.
Engage with internal business unit actuarial, finance, and tax teams to validate modelling and its impacts.
Communication
Work collaboratively & independently with various teams across Prudential and outside of the company.
Communicate key issues to fellow actuaries and other stakeholders.
Lead internal communication materials.
Lead the production of quality work under time pressure.
Occasional travel domestically and internationally.
What you'll need:
Bachelor's Degree required.
Fully qualified actuary with FSA or related designation with 10+ years of experience required.
Candidates with M&A transaction-related experience, reinsurance and or new initiative modelling experience at a consulting firm, insurance company, or investment bank.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage stakeholders with differing goals.
Strong hands-on financial modeling skills with various modelling platforms. Excel skills are key.
Strong quantitative, problem solving and analytical skills under time pressure.
Deep practical knowledge in some combination of the following areas:
US Statutory, US GAAP, Solvency II, IFRS & offshore accounting methods
Valuation methods for insurance companies across wide set of Individual Life & Retirement, Group, Accident and Health, and Pension products.
Major global insurance markets and regulatory frameworks.

What we offer you:Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $192,900.00 to $289,300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $68,000 and $120,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Core Platform Services (CPS) is responsible for driving Integration, Platform and Performance Engineering across Wealth Management Technology (WMT). We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Architect to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in designing, developing, and implementing end-to-end IT solutions using modern technology stacks. The candidate will play a pivotal role in analyzing business requirements, architecting robust solutions, and documenting best practices to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient technology implementations across the organization.
What you'll do in the role:
Develop end-to-end IT solutions by integrating diverse technologies and platforms.
Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable architecture designs.
Map and document end-to-end solution flows, identifying gaps and optimization opportunities.
Define and document best practices, standards, and guidelines for technology adoption, implementation, and maintenance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, operations, and business stakeholders.
Lead architectural reviews, risk assessments, and impact analyses for new and existing solutions.
Ensure solutions adhere to security, compliance, and performance standards.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
What you'll bring to the role:
Minimum 12 years of related Technology experience
6+ years experience designing and deploying solutions using Kubernetes for container orchestration and microservices.
Hands-on expertise with event streaming and messaging
Proficiency in designing and managing API gateways, Service Mesh
Strong background in system integration, public cloud architectures, and DevOps practices.
Experience in public cloud in AWS or Azure implementations.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing frameworks.
Ability to create comprehensive architectural documentation, diagrams, and best practice guides.
Experience with cloud and hybrid architectures.
Working knowledge of security best practices for distributed systems.
Understanding of Batch and Micro batch patterns
Experience in ETL / ELT
Exposure to EDW / Database / OLTP, SQL / NoSQL

Professional certifications related to architecture, Kubernetes or cloud platforms are a plus.
