As the Tire Service Technician, you will work onsite in North Slope, AK and will be responsible for all repairs and replacements of all types of construction related equipment tires. + 5 years of verifiable work history as an Industrial Construction Warehouseman
+ Must be able to read Blueprints/ Drawings
+ Open various size crates, maintain inventory and issue materials
+ must have knowledge of interfacing with heavy equipment
+ Good working knowledge of Materials, / Warehouse / Laydown yard
+ Must be able to be on their feet for long hours climbing up and down trailers and physical lifting
+ Must be physically able to work in extreme cold temperatures
+ Must be able to meet all pre hire DISA Drug and Alcohol test
+ Must furnish own Artic wear specific for the area
+ May be requested to work nightshift
+ Mandatory Rotation schedule 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off

Job DescriptionDescription:
The Light Duty Mechanic must be a highly motivated, team player who is willing to help repair and maintain our fleet of company and customer vehicles. In this position, the Light Duty Mechanic will evaluate and verify concerns, identify additional needed repairs and services, ensure that all repairs and services are completed timely, test drive vehicles, and stay current on all training: ASE, factory, diagnostic tools and safety.
The duties of the Light Duty Mechanic are to include, but are not limited to:
• Perform inspection, maintenance and repairs on assets such as: SUVs, vans, trucks, trailers, etc.
• Responsible for diagnosis and repair in electronic vehicle communication systems and data links, gas/diesel engines, transmission, drivetrain, suspension, brake systems, steering, etc.
• Keeps track of all maintenance and work completed via: phone, email, text, and/or hard copy paperwork. Must have a firm understanding of the 3 C's and the ability to accurately communicate diagnosis to supervisor and customers.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance (changing oil, checking batteries,
chassis lubrication, brakes, tires, etc.)
• Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment, etc.
• Accurately diagnose electrical and mechanical faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
• Must keep shop clean and clean vehicles as needed.
• Ability to estimate time needed to complete repairs in a timely manner.
