Dairy and Frozen Manager REPORTS TO: Store Manager PURPOSE STATEMENT: Greets each customer and provides courteous service. Provides services to customers by always determining their needs, and continually increasing my own knowledge. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Greets each customer in an ongoing effort to elevate overall customer satisfaction level and deliver superior customer service. Maximize sales and profit in the dairy and frozen food department. Prepare/organize the cooler/freezer for receipt of merchandise, unload trucks, inspect the delivery for shortages/damage and sort cases for stocking. Assure the safety of self, customer and co-workers by understanding and practicing store safety rules and notifying a supervisor of any potential hazard immediately. Pick up /remove all broken containers, packing materials/boxes from the sales floor or customers' pathway immediately. Clean store floors, case, cooler and shelves. Safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals. Load stocking carts/pallets, transport cases to sales floor either on stocking carts or pallets, match the case strip to the shelf/case tag/stock, place merchandise in the designated case/shelf/display position/ are, check the product code/freshness date and “face/front”/rotate the front row of each display. Update frozen/dairy pricing weekly and manually price mark/label merchandise without a UPC code. Count and record individual items of merchandise for inventory. File all invoices with Scan Coordinator after recording on the purchase log, and record shrink on daily/weekly basis as directed by supervisor. Orientate and train new employees, and retrain existing employees on work methods, assist cashiers by bagging/carry out when necessary. Order frozen food/dairy products and supplies so as to eliminate out-of-stocks while maintain the desired frozen/dairy turns. Develop a weekly display plan for case merchandising and AD promotions allocating shelf space according to movement, capacity and profitability. Check case and cooler temperatures 3 timed daily. File all invoices with Scan Coordinator after recording on the purchases log, and record shrink on daily/weekly basis as directed by supervisor.
