This position is to provide field engineering services and technical support for the maintenance, construction, testing and commissioning of substation equipment up to and including 500kV. Equipment includes power transformers, circuit breakers, CCVT's, Cap Banks, SVC's, associated relay protection and control equipment, and SCADA systems. Maintenance and commissioning activities can be of either new or modifications to existing substations. This position includes a significant amount of time (90% or more) working outside of an office environment at various company and customer substation facilities and service centers. In addition to maintenance and commissioning activities, there may be occasional technical support for regional substation activities including those in other operating companies.
Responsibilities Include:
Maintaining a safe workplace for coworkers and the community based upon developing knowledge of potential hazards, industry regulations/requirements and company practices.
Commissioning new transmission substation equipment prior to it being released to transmission operations.
Developing check-out guides, review and approving test results and isolation plans, and developing energization plans to minimize system risk.
Providing limited field design services to correct minor design problems encountered during the implementation of substation capital projects.
Providing onsite technical support to regional substation services employees during preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Applying engineering skills and operational knowledge in the identification and resolution of technical problems while in the field during the installation phase, testing phase, and during the design life of the substation equipment. This includes challenging and validating design approaches when necessary.
Assisting in the development of new or in the modification of existing maintenance practices to address changing technology, new equipment types, improved test and diagnostic methods, regulatory changes, etc.
Auditing preventive and corrective maintenance paperwork and test results to verify technical adequacy and regulatory completeness.
Providing emergency technical support following substation equipment failures to support customer restoration and system reinforcement. This includes developing field modifications and commissioning the installation of mobile substations.
Supporting the emergency plan through participation in assigned storm duties including hazard responding.
Ability to work both independently and in unison with others including regional and plant personnel as well as other departments/sections and outside vendors.

**Job Summary**
The overriding mission for Engineering Response Team (ERT) is to protect the work week schedule and address emergent issues to minimize the impact on engineering core business. Job Summary
Corporate I&C Design engineer for Salem and Hope Creek is responsible to providing support for all I&C design basis activities assigned to them in support of the safe and efficient operation of the Generating Stations. Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer to join PSE&G Planning department. As a member of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in developing and proposing future Distribution and Transmission system upgrades required to maintain system reliability for the short range and long range planning horizons. Assist in performing engineering analysis (using power system analysis tools such as PSS/E, TARA, CYME, ASPEN etc.) to assess the timing of the electric system reinforcements, ensuring the reliability and economic operation of the bulk power system.
Analyze potential operating limitations and assist in developing operating procedures to guide system operators.
Evaluate the impact of new customer connections and distributed energy resources (DERs) on the distribution system and propose appropriate mitigation measures.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation summarizing analysis results, recommended solutions, and future reinforcement plans.

Job Summary
The overriding mission for Engineering Response Team (ERT) is to protect the work week schedule and address emergent issues to minimize the impact on engineering core business. External Description:
The overriding mission for Engineering Response Team (ERT) is to protect the work week schedule and address emergent issues to minimize the impact on engineering core business. ERT Mechanical / Systems Engineer will provide maintenance with field support pertaining to simple trouble shooting and lead complex troubleshooting activities with maintenance and operations. Support maintenance and planning by resolving engineering technical issues within the work management process, this includes resolving work order holds assigned to engineering. Develop temporary power and lighting plans, review schematics and logic diagrams for emergent issue support and control room alarm bypass. Review exceptional tag-outs for plant impact and personnel safety. Perform permanent and temporary configuration changes and operability determinations. Required to support outage engineering and participate in the Emergency Response Organization. The successful candidate will also perform other assigned duties as determined by the Salem Emergent Response Team Branch Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for balancing work time to accomplish assigned tasks.

Respond to technical inquiries from maintenance and provide responses to support online work
Provide technical support in resolving operating challenges to the station
Lead complex troubleshooting teams and support simple troubleshooting activities to identify the cause of issues and prevent re-occurrence
Provide technical assistance for equipment that does not have specific system owners
Develop emergent engineering modification products to support scheduled work and operational issue
Develop minor modification packages to resolve long standing station issues and upgrade obsolete equipment
Develop and modify calculations to support technical products
Review and give appropriate prioritization to work backlog and protect both the online schedule
Job Specific Qualifications
BS Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline, with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to support shift work during refueling outage, forced outages, and access industrial areas of a nuclear power plant.
Ability to gain unescorted access to a nuclear power plant.
The candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility with balancing multiple work items with various levels of priority.
Must meet nuclear requirements for Unescorted Site Access.
A valid Real ID or an approved form of alternate documentation (see *********************************** is required for this position by May 7, 2027.
Compliance with the Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
