Note: Current team members report that the longer overnights can be challenging; some schedule flexibility may be available.

The Nurse Practitioner will be caring for patient being evaluated for CABG, VATS, Valve Surgeries, Esophagectomies, Esophageal Hernias, Carotid Endarterectomy and Vascular procedures. The ideal candidate implements and coordinates a plan of care for patients as part of the multidisciplinary team during their stay including initial consultation for preoperative management during the inpatient stay to discharge. This process would include the coordination of surgical schedules, pre and post procedural/surgical screening and testing. The CV Nurse Practitioner follows the patient from Admission to Discharge to ensure smooth coordination and good patient outcomes.
Position Qualifications:

California Registered Nurse (RN) license, California Nurse Practitioner (NP) license required.
Current Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) Certification (AGACNP or ACNP) required.
