The Nurse Practitioner works directly with patients to deliver medication-assisted recovery for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and empowers patients in their recovery journeys in coordination with the Care Team (primarily Care Advocates and Peer Recovery Specialists).
Our clinicians deliver compassionate and empathetic telephonic, text-based, and video-based (telehealth) patient engagement and monitoring.

Success in This Role Patient Facing (80%)
Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage ongoing care for individuals with complex SUDs and related comorbidities
Understand, embrace, and incorporate harm reduction practices into all patient care
Help elicit patients' own goals for their recovery and support them over time through therapeutic alliance and shared decision-making
Educate patients on Boulder's model of care, SUDs, related comorbidities, recovery strategies, and safer use where appropriate
Coordinate with Medical Directors/Clinical Leadership to develop and oversee treatment plans, adjusting them as needed
Provide patient care coverage during scheduled shifts, including some nonstandard hours (evenings/weekends) based on team needs and candidate availability

Requirements for the Role
Minimum 1+ year of addiction treatment experience
3 or more years of clinical experience as an NP or RN preferred
Active Nurse Practitioner license in your state of residency and PMHNP certification
Degree from an accredited school of nursing and a graduate-level nurse practitioner program
Demonstrated experience managing SUDs in a chronic care model through medication assisted recovery paired with social needs management
Specific experience transitioning individuals from illicit opioids to buprenorphine
Proficiency in EMRs and video conferencing platforms (Google Suite or similar highly preferred)
Ability to gain approval for multiple state licenses and insurance company contracts (no significant legal or credentialing barriers/sanctions)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; outstanding communication and collaboration

JOB TITLE: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
JOB PURPOSE: Provide psychiatric and mental health services to clinic patients at UW Family Medicine Clinic located in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assessment and management of health and illness states. To do this, the clinician obtains and documents a relevant health history, performs a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, and diagnoses psychiatric disorders. The clinician then develops a treatment plan for mental health problems and psychiatric disorders based on biopsychosocial theories, evidence-based standards of care, and practice guidelines. Psychotropic and related medications are prescribed based on clinical indicators of a patient's status, including results of diagnostic and lab tests as appropriate, to treat symptoms of psychiatric disorders and improve functional health status.
Coordinate referrals and ongoing access to primary and other health care services for patients.
Provide consultation to and seek consultation from other health care clinicians to enhance quality and cost effective services for patients.
Maintain patient's electronic medical record and accurately document each patient encounter.
SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:
Participate in medical staff meetings; maintenance and promotion of accreditation standards; guidance to support staff; collaborate with colleagues to provide integrated health within the clinic structure.

Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient encounters
