Physician Assistant With the supervision of a Physician, (as per O.R.C. 4730) the PA-C provides medical care, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to patients with complex, acute, and chronic health conditions. Performs a physical exam based upon the age and patient history as per the Supervisory Agreement in place with OSMB. Must be able to work with autonomy within Ohio law under direction of supervising physician. Identifies significant health and medical risk factors. Orders, interprets and evaluates laboratory test and other diagnostic studies to assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. Develops a diagnosis by analyzing and synthesizing collected data. Develops a treatment plan along with the patient and significant others as directed and reviewed by physician. Performs diagnostic or therapeutic interventions consistent with certification, law and Akron Children's Hospital privileges. May prescribe and monitor medications as allowed by prescriptive authority through Ohio Board of Medicine and hospital policy. Develops patient education plan. Collaborates with nursing, medical and other healthcare team members regularly to ensure quality patient care. May serve as clinical preceptor for PA students. Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
Inpatient
Provides medical care to patients with complex acute, critical, and chronic health conditions, including the delivery of acute care services. Practice with a variety of specialty-based populations including neonatal, pediatric, and adult. Practices in any setting in which patients require complex monitoring and therapies, high intensity medical intervention, or continuous vigilance within the range of high-acuity care. Participates in quality monitoring through the review of records and treatment plans for patient outcomes on a bi-annual basis to assure quality care and per ORC requirements. Must have Supervision Agreement filed, current certificate to practice and certificate to prescribe (or eligible) by Ohio Board of Medicine. Must obtain credentialing as an active member of medical staff and appropriate medical staff privileges. Current Health Care Provider BLS training is required. Cleveland Clinic's Digestive Disease and Surgery Institute is currently seeking a Physician Assistant or NursePractitioner (Acute Care Certified) for a full time position with Liver Transplant. This is not a surgical position. This position would cover a medically complex patient population which would include: adults post-liver transplant in the ICU, inpatient regular nursing floor, as well as cross-coverage of the inpatient pediatric liver transplant patients. This provider will be responsible for the overall medical management of the patient post liver transplant as well as inpatient liver transplant surgical consults. There will also be coverage of the outpatient liver transplant clinics as needed. Daily virtual or onsite visits to local LTACs and subacute facility will also be required on a rotational basis. The hours for this position will be four 10 hour shifts per week to include occasional weekends. Coverage and hours may change depending on practice needs. Cleveland Clinic?s Integrated Surgical Institute is currently seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or NursePractitioner (Family or Adult certified) for a full-time position as a Surgical Breast Specialist. This role offers a Monday-Friday schedule, 7:00AM - 5:00PM, with no weekend, holiday, or on-call responsibilities. This position requires at least one year of prior PA or NP experience, and OR First Assist experience is strongly preferred. New graduates will not be considered for this position. Responsibilities:
Conducts thorough medical histories, performs complete physical examinations (where indicated), initiates appropriate lab, radiology tests or other special tests required for evaluation of illness, and scrutinizes lab data to establish a record of the patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
