The Doctor of Nursing Practice - Family Nurse Practitioner (DNP-FNP) track prepares nurses with a prior bachelor's or master's degree in nursing for advanced nursing leadership and the clinical role of providing integrative primary care to individuals and families across cultures and care settings. The FNP track emphasizes eliminating barriers to health through peaceful, just, and collaborative actions that uphold and improve human potential. Graduates are eligible to apply for certification as Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Preferred candidates will be committed to teaching and mentoring in the DNP-FNP track of the DNP program. Responsibilities for this full-time position (11-month appointment, 0.75) will include teaching, academic advising, supervision of student DNP projects, and service to the university.
