We are seeking a dedicated Ob/Gyn Physician to join our multidisciplinary team in San Jose, CA, providing high-quality outpatient gynecological, obstetric, prenatal, and educational care in a patient-centered environment. This role includes evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, patient education, and referrals, as well as oversight of midlevel practitioners and clinical staff. The physician will help ensure smooth patient flow, collaborate across departments, and support care for a diverse, multicultural community.
Responsibilities
Provide outpatient GYN, prenatal, and post-partum care including exams, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and health education.
Serve as a consultant for Ob/Gyn cases referred by other providers.
Educate patients and families about preventive care, diagnosis, treatments, and medications.
Request referrals for labs, tests, and specialty services as needed.
Maintain accurate, confidential medical records in compliance with regulations.
Support EHR documentation and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Supervise and provide medical backup to Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.
Participate in program planning, protocol development, and in-service training for staff.
Support medical interns and student professionals as needed.
Flexible scheduling required, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Completion of accredited Ob/Gyn residency.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ob/Gyn
Current California medical license and DEA registration.
Current BLS certification (AHA approved).
Background check required.
Preferred: 1 year of experience, community/public health background, bilingual Spanish.

Requirements:
- Strong background and/or motivated in women?s health
- Strong PC Skills (eClinicalWorks a plus)
- Very Strongly Preferred: Fluent in Mandarin, Spanish or Vietnamese
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- State licensure and DEA registration.
- Experience in women's health, gynecology, oncology, and urogynecology preferred, but will consider a highly motivated candidate in GYN health
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physicians.
- Provide care and support in both Urogynecology and Gynecologic Oncology
- Assist in the OR approximately 1 day out of each week if of interest (if the OR is not of interest the position can be 100% in clinic)
- Provide patient education on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Assist in the coordination of care, including collaboration with other healthcare providers and ancillary services.
- Perform procedures such as biopsies, Pap smears, and other gynecologic examinations.
- Provide surgical assistance in gynecologic procedures, including preoperative and postoperative care.
- Conduct hereditary genetic counseling for patients at risk for familial cancers
- Evaluate and manage patients with urogynecologic conditions, such as pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, recurrent UTIs (provide acute UTI visits)
- Responsible for follow up visits, acute/same-day visits, well woman examinations
- Potential opportunity in the future to assist in chemotherapy care for gynecologic oncology patients
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in the electronic health record.
