A PsychiatricNursePractitioner provides psychiatric clinical services for patients. Performs job duties in compliance with systems and job specific standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Consult with MD/Psychiatrist/LCSW on patients via eCW, telephone encounter, and/or with patient visits
Consult with MD/Psychiatrist on medication management, via eCW, telephone encounter, and/or visit with patient as needed to address BH concerns

SCADD?s Withdrawal Management program is a medically monitored withdrawal management and evaluation program delivered by medical and nursing professionals and enhanced by skilled clinicians and technicians. The Women's After- Hours Care Division with Women's Health Connecticut is currently seeking an experienced Mid-Level Provider (APRN, FNP, CNM, PA)!
Position: APRN/FNP/PS/CNM
Hours per week: Part-time, 15-20 hours per week
Weekly Schedule: Offering weekday shifts starting at 5:00 pm, Weds- Fri. Occasionally weekend shifts will apply, starting at 10:00am on Saturday
In collaboration with the attending physician, this role is responsible for providing skilled health care to patients in a clinical setting dedicated to women's health and facilitating clinical management of these patients by collaborating with attending providers, clinical nurses, and other members of the health care team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides direct patient care in fast-paced office consultations, including assessment, work-ups, triage, and other patient care activities
Obtains and documents health history, performs and documents physical exam, and orders and interprets diagnostic tests
Provides counseling to patients regarding diagnosis and expected course of treatment
Collaborates with physicians to provide appropriate direct care interventions within scope of practice
Collects, organizes, records, and discusses data as appropriate and uses sound clinical judgment based in best practice standards and evidenced based medicine
Prescribes pharmaceuticals according to patient needs and conducts appropriate patient follow-up & outreach
Demonstrates commitment to ongoing education and improvement as evidenced by documentation of attendance at conferences, in-services, seminars, and committee meeting
Performs other related duties in support of efficient department operations and superior patient care
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Licenses and Certifications:
-Required current CTPractitioner (APRN, FNP, CNM, PA) License with prescriptive authority
- National Certification in Advanced Practice and current CPR certification
- Training or certification in Family Medicine or Women's Health
Experience:
At least 3-5 years of experience in emergency, or urgent care is preferred.
1-2 years of Women's Health experience is required.
1-2 years antepartum experience required
IV insertion experience is required or willing to learn.
Ability to work autonomously in fast paced environment.
Customer-Focus and Communication.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate in other languages highly desirable.
Positive, customer-focused approach, with commitment to providing excellent patient care.
Excellent clinical management skills and proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take lead when appropriate.
Ability to adhere to PWH policies as well as HIPAA requirements, OSHA regulations and Infection Control standards.

Job Summary
Urgent care Advanced Practitioners (Physician Assistant/NursePractitioner) provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections. Functioning in lieu of or alongside of a physician, it is essential for an urgent care Advanced Practitioner to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary.

2-5 years of post-residency clinical experience required
