* Current BLS certification.
* Ability to travel within the Center's geographic region.

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $104,500 - $156,000. PSYCHIATRIST ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide onsite psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of those inmates referred by the medical and clinical services staff.
Provide written summaries of history, diagnosis and treatment course.
Where applicable, provide psychiatric services for inpatients, assessment, diagnosis, staffing, treatment planning, and regular review of all inmates assigned.
Where applicable, provide psychiatric services for all inmates referred to the Healthcare Unit for those inmates in the general population who need regular psychiatric/behavioral health follow up.
Where applicable, provide psychiatric services for those inmates who need to be transferred to Behavioral Health facilities. Services to include work up and any court hearing testimony needed.
Where applicable, act as regular Psychiatrist and participate in the treatment programming and planning for the
Behavioral Health Unit (if applicable) duties include regular staffing and contact with Behavioral Health Unit staff and supervisor, discussion of problem cases, follow up and monitoring of medication, and general psychiatric input.

Role:
The PsychiatricNursePractitioner coordinates psychiatric services with the Behavioral Health Director and Psychiatrist as well as provides direct services to patients with mental health issues, substance abuse disorders and dual diagnosis. Duties include but are not limited to evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric conditions; issuing prescriptions and maintenance of all clients on psychotropic medication; and assumes leadership role in case conferences and in-service training of staff and actively participates in peer and utilization review. Our Behavioral Health Provider will be providing services at both the Neponset Health Center and Geiger Gibson Community Health Center.
Responsibilities:
* Prescribes and maintains all clients on psychotropic medication.
* Evaluates, diagnoses, and treats psychiatric conditions.
* Participates in diagnostic formulations and development of treatment plans for patients.
* Takes a leadership role in case conferences and in-service training of staff and provides overview of medical problems and organic psychiatric and neurological problems.
* Participates in Utilization Review Committee at our Health Centers.
* Provides psychiatric consultation to primary care medical providers.
* Participates in training of Behavioral Health Department interns and staff, possibly other agency staff, as arranged with Behavioral Health Department Director.
* Completes appropriate documentation and submits charges in a timely manner as required.
* Actively collaborates with the Substance Use Disorder (SUD) care teams and Patient care teams.
* Precepts students/interns as needed.
Requirements:
* Masters of Science in Nursing, Certified Psychiatric Mental Health NursePractitioner with current MA License to practice, current BLS Certification required
* Current MCSR and DEA
* Five years of experience prescribing psychotropic medication to adult psychiatric patients with license, experience prescribing psychotropic medications to youth under 18 years of age preferred
* Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in addiction treatment in an outpatient setting, with experience prescribing and treating patients with SUD.
* One year of experience working in a community health center setting highly desired
* Exceptional interpersonal skills
* Experience with grant reporting and compliance preferred
* Basic to Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams and familiarity with using Electronic Medical Record (EMR), EPIC/OCHIN desired
* Bilingual a plus, Vietnamese/Spanish and English or any other language desired

Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts. For newly licensed nurses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.

A Day in the Life of this Role:

Summary of Duties:

Job Summary
Summary
The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse registered in Massachusetts who is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care as set forth in the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual. The registered nurse demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of patient care and is directly responsible to a designated nurse manager, or supervisor.
For newly licensed nurses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.

• Accountable for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating a plan of care for a specific patient assignment.
• Sets priorities when organizing care for patients with varying acuity.

• Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of growth and development of the adult and geriatric patient. In areas, such as the NICU and Obstetrics the principals of growth and development are applicable to the neonate.

Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts. For newly licensed nurses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
Experience: stepdown cardiology experience preferred.
Other: Membership in professional organizations is recommended and certification in a specialty area is encouraged.
Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract
