Clinical Standards & Compliance-Comply with IHS facility policies, infection control procedures, safety protocols, and CMS standards.-Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical records per IHS standards.-Follow IHS Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee guidelines when prescribing. Collaborative Participation-Work under the direction of the Clinical Director or designee.-Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.-Participate in quality improvement activities, peer reviews, and committee assignments.-Provide occasional formal or informal training to facility staff. Operational Duties-Utilize the Purchased Referred Care (PRC) referral system for specialist services.-Adhere to the facility's scheduling, including holiday, weekend, and night shifts when required.-Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA. Qualifications Licensure & Certification-Current, unrestricted state nursing license (from any U.S. state or territory).-Registration with an Advanced Practice Nursing Board.-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred. Experience-Minimum of one year of direct patient care experience within the past year.-Demonstrated ability to deliver culturally sensitive care, particularly within Native American communities. Skills-Strong diagnostic, clinical, and interpersonal skills.-Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Emergency Department environment.-Competence in educating patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
