Treating patients via tele-health visits, including telephonic triage calls, video visit appointments, and email follow-ups

Completed an accredited FNP program with a national certification

Prototypes, a program of HealthRIGHT 360's residential substance use disorder (SUD) program is a new program contracted with Department of Public Health's (DPH) Substance Abuse Prevention and Control (SAPC) program for residential drug Medi-Cal (DMC) services for up to 99 adult men and women: 33 that are for men who are judicially involved, 33 for men, and 33 for women. The residential DMC program will employ 100 people and works closely with the other BHC programs to provide a continuum of services for low income/Medi-Cal population. The program is located on the campus of Martin Luther King Jr. Hospital in the Willowbrook area of South Los Angeles and will serve all LA County residents.
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with the healthcare team which includes medical assistants, primary care, mental health and psychiatric providers, patient care coordinators, and registered nurses to provide patients with comprehensive quality healthcare that addresses both biomedical and psychosocial needs. The core responsibilities include a high degree of interpersonal competence with both staff and patients and evidence- based approaches to routine psychiatric care, medication management, chronic care support and medication assisted therapy for treatment of substance use disorders. Participates in Quality Improvement activities, and may contribute to the practice and program development. Patient population will include clients in residential treatment for substance use disorders at MLK BHC.
Key Responsibilities
Provide psychiatric health care to adults and adolescents including management of common acute and chronic illness.
Perform focused episodic history and physical exams and treat patients' minor acute as well as urgent (non-emergent) psychiatric conditions.
Collect a comprehensive history on all continuity patients.
Perform ongoing assessment of psychiatric illness.
Order appropriate diagnostic tests.
This includes but not limited to monitoring for onset of metabolic syndrome, basic blood panel and screening for HIV/HCV.
Formulate diagnoses based on interpretation of health history, physical exam, and diagnostic tests.
Providers will be expected to initiate and oversee curative medical treatment for patients with uncomplicated HCV under the guidance of the associate medical director.
Utilize all the above information in formulating and documenting health care plans which include treatment, health maintenance, education, counseling, and follow-up.
Provide Medication Assisted Treatment services for patients with substance use disorders by itself or in combination with medical psychiatric services if necessary.
Furnish or transmit medication orders as designated by licensure and according to clinic procedure.
Foster collaboration and client referrals between Substance Abuse Treatment Services.
Supports the care team in the psychiatric treatment of the patient.
Fosters and participates in integration of patient care services, including support for coordination of care.
Part of this responsibility will include leading huddles between DMH and SUD counselors and Psych NP providers to better support coordination of care.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Interventional Cardiologist to join our dynamic Cath Lab team. This full-time position is based in the "Regional Cardiac Cath Lab" at the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center where the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of patient care within this specialized environment. The candidate will join 5 other physicians who are full time cath lab operators. The role demands a commitment to serving as a role model for the cath lab staff, including nurses and technicians, and playing a pivotal role in their education and training. This position also includes the education and training of interventional cardiology and general cardiology fellows, ensuring the next generation of cardiologists are well-prepared for their careers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform a full range of interventional cardiology procedures, including but not limited to coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and structural heart interventions.- Provide expert patient care in the cath lab setting, managing a full schedule of cases from Monday through Friday, with rotational weekend coverage every fourth weekend.- Serve as a role model and leader for cath lab staff, fostering a culture of excellence, compassion, and professionalism.- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in managing a rapidly changing schedule and patient care situations, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, from pre-procedure assessment to post-procedure follow-up.- Lead and participate in the educational and training activities for the cath lab team, including nurses and techs, to enhance their skills and knowledge.- Involve in the education and training of interventional cardiology and general cardiology fellows, contributing to their clinical and procedural competence.- Participate in research activities and clinical trials, contributing to the advancement of interventional cardiology practices and treatments.
